The primary focus is to ensure the delivery of functionally and financially viable projects that meet stringent deadlines, adhere to authorized budgets, and maintain the highest quality standards.Job Duties and skills include:<ul><li>Assigned to a field construction organization in a general or single discipline position. Assist in overseeing activities of construction crafts/trades within an assigned area of responsibility. </li><li>Receives continual supervision and direction in the performance of assigned responsibility. </li><li>Receives technical and operational direction from the assigned Project Manager.</li><li>Assists with the planning and coordination of sub-contractor activities within the area of responsibility.</li><li>Monitor’s subcontractor personnel to ensure adherence with project plans and promotes quality control of all installations</li><li>Reviews manpower, material, equipment requirements with others as designated by supervising superintendent.</li><li>Enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by Field Management.</li><li>Prepares reports, as required, and keeps supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities.</li><li>Under guidance of Project Manager, monitors work performance to ensure project plans and schedules are followed. </li><li>This includes, but is not limited to, reviewing construction methods, schedules, manning charts, material and equipment requirements, etc...</li><li>Ensures compliance with all internal and external record keeping requirements, with particular emphasis on accurate, properly coded timecards and accurately codes, fully priced material delivery tickets.</li><li>Uses current construction management system to perform record-keeping tasks including, composing daily diaries, maintaining project logs and retrieving RFIs, submittal logs and agreements.</li><li>Provides assistance to assigned contractors in scheduling issues.</li><li>Monitors the project pre-plan which includes a CPM schedule</li><li>When requested, interfaces with client, architect and design professionals to ensure compliance to design intent and client satisfaction.</li><li>Contribute to building good communications between field management, project management, estimating, procurement, suppliers, vendors, and specialty contractors to ensure construction complies with plans, specifications and company quality standards and that the project is completed on time and within budget.</li><li>Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing training skills in order to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.</li><li> Provides technical support and manages projects in pre-construction, construction and close out.</li><li> Manages all aspects of project delivery and coordination of construction projects including planning, design, budgeting, scheduling, labor compliance and closeout activities.</li><li> Evaluates architectural and engineering proposals and provides execution, contracting and awarding strategies and recommendations.</li><li> Reviews and responds to requests for clarification (RFC), change order proposals (COP), and change directives (CD) for quality assurance and merit.</li><li> Prepares cost estimates and negotiates a fair and reasonable cost for extra services obtained from commissioned architects/engineers and for change orders submitted by contractors.</li><li> Reviews contractor baseline schedules including analysis of critical path and recovery schedules, to monitor construction progress, report potential issues, and ensure projects are delivered within approved timelines.</li><li> Reviews and monitors applications for payment and performs fiscal management of project resources.</li><li> Conducts constructability reviews for compliance with Client standards and building code requirements.</li><li> Provides technical support and management of project closeout and certification processes, including design and construction coordination, packaging submittals, monitoring financial and administrative activities, and facilitates plan check approvals.</li><li> Assists in the development of standards and specifications for the design or construction of new facilities, and the repair and modernization of existing facilities.</li><li> Performs site walks to verify field conditions and monitors construction activities for compliance with contract documents and safety standards.</li><li> Coordinates progress meetings between site administrators, community representatives, public agencies, and Client departments during all phases of construction.</li><li> Monitors the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and ensures that projects meet and comply with State Requirements.</li><li> Performs related duties as assigned.</li></ul>
