This role provides strategic leadership for material flow, inventory optimization, S&amp;OP readiness, supplier and logistics alignment, and cross-functional execution with production, quality, procurement, planning, transportation, and customer-facing teams. The position drives safety, service, cost, cash, inventory accuracy, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across all facilities. Key Responsibilities1. Multi‑Site Warehouse Leadership<ul><li>Provide executive oversight of warehouse operations across multiple sites, including receiving, shipping, inventory control, logistics, POD, small parts, site maintenance, and material handling.</li><li>Ensure consistent execution of safety, quality, accuracy, and productivity standards across all locations.</li><li>Build a strong operational culture focused on performance, accountability, and engagement.</li><li>Ability to travel 10%-15% of the time.</li></ul>2. Logistics &amp; Transportation Oversight<ul><li>Lead network‑level logistics performance, including inbound/outbound scheduling, transportation planning, and coordination across all sites.</li><li>Resolve transportation delays and support import/export activity across the region.</li><li>Drive Quarterly RFQs and support cost‑effective carrier management.</li><li>Ensure transportation, customs, and trade compliance requirements are integrated into logistics execution, including import/export documentation, carrier performance, and shipment exception management.</li></ul>3. Facilities &amp; Equipment Management<ul><li>Oversee facility readiness, security, and infrastructure across all warehouse locations.</li><li>Manage material handling equipment strategies, fleet utilization, and capital planning.</li></ul>4. Supply Chain Integration &amp; Cross‑Functional Alignment<ul><li>Partner with Procurement, Production, Quality, and Planning to streamline material flow and operational readiness.</li><li>Enhance supply chain visibility, improve lead times, strengthen S&amp;OP readiness, and translate demand and supply plans into executable inventory, logistics, and material flow actions across the network.</li><li>Strengthen inbound/outbound processes and support SAP optimization initiatives.</li><li>Drive supply chain analytics, dashboards, and KPI reporting for service, inventory turns, freight cost, OTIF, cycle count accuracy, supplier performance, and process bottlenecks.</li><li>Partner with Procurement and Planning to manage supplier lead times, replenishment strategies, safety stock levels, supply constraints, and escalation paths that support on-time production and customer fulfillment.</li></ul>5. Inventory Accuracy &amp; Control<ul><li>Lead inventory accuracy initiatives across all warehouses, including cycle counting, audit readiness, and continuous improvement of inventory processes.</li><li>Drive root‑cause analysis for systemic inventory issues impacting operations or customer fulfillment.</li></ul>6. Enterprise‑Level Process Improvement<ul><li>Lead Lean initiatives and standardized work across all warehouse sites to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and harmonize processes.</li><li>Develop and implement best practices for layout design, labor efficiency, material flow, and transportation performance.</li><li>Champion cross‑site improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, accuracy, and cost reduction.</li></ul>7. Talent Leadership &amp; Organizational Development<ul><li>Direct hiring, development, and performance management for warehouse, logistics, and supply chain teams.</li><li>Build leadership capabilities within the network and ensure teams are structured for scalability and growth.</li></ul><ul><li>Support succession planning and capability development for evolving supply chain needs.</li></ul>Your Profile / QualificationsQualifications<ul><li>4-year degree in supply chain is preferred.</li><li>10+ years of leadership experience in warehousing, logistics, or integrated supply chain roles.</li><li>Minimum of 7+ years of progressive supply chain management experience, including material planning, inventory management, logistics, supplier coordination, and cross-functional operations support.</li><li>Demonstrated success managing multi‑site operations.</li><li>Proven ability to lead supply chain transformation, S&amp;OP readiness, warehouse and transportation standardization, process improvement, and KPI-based performance management across multiple sites.</li><li>Strong background in Lean, process standardization, and operational excellence.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of ERP/WMS systems, SAP master data discipline, inventory transactions, supply planning processes, and reporting tools such as Power BI or equivalent business intelligence platforms.</li><li>Experience with international shipping, import/export documentation, customs compliance, transportation cost optimization, and carrier management preferred.</li><li>Excellent leadership, communication, and cross‑functional influence skills.</li></ul> The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $140,000 - $160,000 per year.  GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
