AECOM is seeking a BIM Specialist to join our team in the Atlanta, GA area. This position will support the development, coordination, and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) deliverables for water and wastewater projects, with an emphasis on piping systems and Revit-based modeling. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with Revit, piping design/modeling, and other BIM software and standards, coordinating design information, and supporting project teams to ensure models and documentation are accurate, organized, and delivered on schedule.<ul><li>Works under limited supervision with the ability to exercise independent judgment on technical matters</li><li>Provides training and technical support to design staff on the Building Information Modeling system, including Revit and 3D piping/model development, using project specifications and content</li><li>Delivers direct project support and production to assigned projects and creates drawings as required using the standards and content to meet job requirements, including pumps, pipes, piping systems, equipment, and other model elements</li><li>Performs complex Revit or CADD assignments, including piping and utility modeling, and coordinates Revit or CADD drawing production in support of the CADD manager</li><li>Digitizes or traces sketches or concepts from designers using CADD software, such as Revit, AutoCAD, or MicroStation</li><li>Makes decisions with general understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines</li><li>Understands the implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions to improve project outcomes</li><li>Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and establishes best practices for BIM, Revit, and piping modeling workflows</li><li>Leads less experienced drafters and provides mentorship on technical skills, Revit/piping modeling, and project standards</li><li>Trains others in design software and BIM protocols as needed to support team development</li><li>Acts as lead CAD coordinator on assigned projects, ensuring consistency and compliance with BIM standards</li><li>Performs quality assurance and validation checks on BIM and Revit models, including piping systems, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project specifications</li><li>Collaborates with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams to coordinate model information and resolve conflicts between piping, mechanical, structural, civil, and other disciplines</li><li>Maintains and updates BIM documentation, standards, and content libraries to support current and future project requirements</li></ul>
