We are the world’s largest producer of sustainable wood pellets, which provide a low-carbon alternative to fossil fuels.</div>Job Purpose The Accounts Payable Specialist reports to the Accounts Payable Supervisor and will provide direct support for processing various types of accounts payable transactions with a high level of accuracy.    Responsibilities <ul><li>Perform the day to day processing of accounts payable invoices to ensure that transactions are processed accurately and that vendors are paid timely.  </li></ul><ul><li>Enter invoices for a specific set of entities.  </li></ul><ul><li>Provide customer service for specific entities.  </li></ul><ul><li>Receive and reconcile invoices to purchase orders.  </li></ul><ul><li>Obtain appropriate approval for payment of invoices received that do not have a purchase order number.  </li></ul><ul><li>Ensure transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.  </li></ul><ul><li>Responsible for the accurate coding and timely processing of invoices, including imports from other programs.  </li></ul><ul><li>Manage the departmental mailbox  </li></ul><ul><li>Investigate and resolve all discrepancies associated with the processing of invoices.  </li></ul><ul><li>Ensure all vendor invoices are scanned and saved with appropriate naming convention for posting by the Corporate AP Manager.  </li></ul><ul><li>Responsible for vendor correspondence.  </li></ul><ul><li>Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.  </li></ul><ul><li>Other tasks as assigned.  </li></ul> Required Qualifications <ul><li>At least 2 years relevant experience in Accounts Payable.  </li></ul><ul><li>Meticulous and self-motivated individual with good interpersonal skills.  </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage high volume transactions.  </li></ul><ul><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to multi-task.  </li></ul><ul><li>Open to change and willing to learn new skills.  </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to follow up on pending issues.  </li></ul><ul><li>Analytical and problem-solving skills.  </li></ul><ul><li>Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.  </li></ul><ul><li>Demonstrated ability to plan and organize your own work activities, manage time efficiently and follow policies and procedures.  </li></ul><ul><li>Motivated self-starter.  </li></ul><ul><li>Computer skills including the ability to operate computerized accounting and Microsoft Office programs.  </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial data.  </li></ul><ul><li>Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff.    </li></ul><div>This position is not eligible for visa support.EEO Statement Enviva is dedicated to the principles of equal employment opportunity (EEO) in any term, condition or privilege of employment.
