Work environments are general office and Engineering Lab. Detailed Description:<ul><li>Supervise specific division of the Software Engineering group. This responsibility includes resource allocation, hiring, performing reviews, feedback on project planning, and establishing realistic goals with the engineers.</li><li>Supervise and validate the technical solutions and schedules proposed by the design engineers in the group.</li><li>Periodically report the performance of the group, its bandwidth availability and ensure that the group performs at its maximum capacity.</li><li>Establish a quality process enabling engineers to produce designs efficiently by reusing established practices while allowing flexibility to innovate and achieve.</li><li>Play a hands-on role in day-to-day software implementation cycles; writing specifications, making designs trade-off decisions, participating in design reviews, coding and troubleshooting, as required to fill the gaps in the group bandwidth.</li><li>Ensure the software development process is followed by creating a paper trail of meeting minutes, specifications and validation documents.</li><li>Assist in the decision making process during the design cycle and provide an objective view when reviewing implementation proposals.</li><li>Contribute to proposals, project plans and schedules for each project in design by the software development group.</li><li>Maintain and improve the software development environment to include revision control systems, bug/issue tracking, build server and test systems.</li></ul> Requirements:<ul><li>Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing engineering groups and a minimum 15 years’ experience desired in some of the following areas:</li><li>Developing strategies for software</li><li>Deploying and administering software development tools.</li><li>Architecture, designing, implementing, and testing embedded systems software</li><li>Designing, implementing, and testing software writing in assembly, C/C++</li><li>Imaging systems and electro-optical components (highly desirable).</li><li>Word-Excel-Power Point skills required.</li><li>Strong Computer Skills: Word, Excel and PowerPoint</li><li>Design and implementation of embedded software from given or derived specifications (implemented in C, C++ and assembly)</li></ul> Preferred Skills/Experience:<ul><li>Design, implementation and integration of software products using Linux/OpenSource and/or Microsoft Visual Studio</li><li>Validation of software</li><li>Imaging Systems and Electro-Optical Components</li><li>Must be US Citizen or Perm Resident</li></ul>  Salary Range: $177,500.00-$236,600.000The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
