Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Serve as Air Products' primary technical representative at customer sites, maintaining a professional image and delivering exceptional customer service.</li><li>Plan, coordinate, and execute commissioning, startup, maintenance, and service activities safely and efficiently.</li><li>Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and industrial equipment to minimize downtime and optimize performance.</li><li>Provide technical guidance, operational support, and customer training as required.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all company, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.</li><li>Develop, review, and update commissioning and service procedures to support operational excellence.</li></ul><ul><li>Complete accurate and timely service reports, expense reports, time reporting, technical documentation, and customer follow-up in accordance with company requirements.</li><li>Provide technical input to quotations, spare-parts recommendations, service proposals, and follow-up activities, as applicable.</li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues and improve service delivery.</li><li>Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to enhanced customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.</li></ul><ul><li>Support the GSS sales and spare parts activities by preparing quotations, following up with customers, and coordinating orders when not assigned to field service, travel, or other technical support activities.</li></ul><ul><li>Support special projects and assignments directed by the Customer Support Manager.</li></ul><ul><li>Take ownership of assigned service activities from preparation through execution, reporting, follow-up, and technical closeout.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain current knowledge of Air Products' equipment, technologies, and best practices.</li></ul> Qualifications Required<ul><li>Technical diploma, associate degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.</li><li>3 to 5 years of experience in field service, commissioning, industrial maintenance, or technical support.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment manuals.</li></ul><ul><li>Proven ability to plan and execute field assignments independently, manage priorities, follow established procedures, and escalate technical or safety concerns when required.</li></ul><ul><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.</li><li>Proficiency with service management software, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and environmental compliance.</li></ul><ul><li>Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally approximately 30% of the time, including overnight stays, extended customer-site assignments, and travel outside normal business hours.</li><li>Ability and willingness to work onboard vessels and at land-based industrial facilities, including in machinery spaces and other operational environments, while complying with all applicable safety requirements.</li><li>Flexibility to support customers outside normal business hours when required, including occasional evenings or weekends.</li><li>Participate in an on-call support rotation as required.</li><li>A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport and required travel documentation are required.</li></ul>  Preferred Qualifications <ul><li>Experience with industrial gas generation, marine industry, membrane separation systems, compressors, instrumentation, PLC-based controls, process equipment, or similar technologies.</li></ul><ul><li>Experience conducting customer training and technical presentations.</li><li>Knowledge of commissioning and startup procedures for industrial and marine systems.</li></ul><ul><li>The preferred location is the St. Louis, Missouri area.
