Providing technical expertise to Pre-Contract and Project Delivery teams on matters concerning Design, Construction, Operation and Maintenance of Overhead Line systems, you will also prepare project quality documentation, ensuring all deliverables meet SP Energy Networks quality processes and standards. Driving innovation and industry best practice is essential. You will evaluate new technologies, equipment, materials and alternative working methods to deliver cost savings, improve efficiencies and enhance safety outcomes. Working across global multidisciplinary Engineering teams, you will contribute to integrated, end-to-end solutions that keep our Transmission network operating reliably and efficiently.  What you'll bringYou will ideally hold a degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering or HND with equivalent practical experience and be working towards membership of a professional institution. Significant experience in an Engineering position focused on Transmission network Overhead Lines and associated equipment is essential. You must demonstrate proven capability in delivering Engineering solutions and Designs for high-value, complex Transmission Overhead Line projects. Effective communication skills are required, along with the ability to build productive working relationships across departments and businesses. You will need the capability to implement and promote CDM and Health &amp; Safety best practice within a Design environment, representing departments or project teams on Overhead Line Engineering issues, evaluations, standards and industry best practice. The ability to write clear, concise reports and technical documents is essential, as is the capability to communicate with and influence Senior Management.
