Our people bring deep industry knowledge to help you succeed.As a Civil Engineer for AECOM's Greenville, SC team, you will work with multi-discipline project teams to develop a range of engineering solutions from initial concepts to detailed design development and through construction. This is a diverse role that will involve your contributions and insight into the effective delivery of the department’s current and future portfolio of projects.The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for preparing site civil engineering plans for commercial, industrial, utility, and infrastructure development projects.Duties include site layout, grading design, utility coordination, access and circulation planning, erosion control measures, and preparation of permit and construction documents. The Site Civil Designer works closely with clients, permitting agencies, stormwater designers, and utility providers to develop fully coordinated plans that meet regulatory requirements and progress from entitlement and permitting through Issued-for-Construction (IFC) plan development and construction support. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team</li><li>Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise</li><li>Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others</li><li>Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables</li><li>Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects</li><li>Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&amp;E package</li><li>Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings</li><li>Prepares technical specification sections</li><li>Travel occasionally to the sites or the office (approximately 5% travel)</li><li>Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements</li><li>Leads and mentors junior engineers and technicians in complex civil engineering projects</li><li>Collaborates with project managers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality deliverables</li><li>Conducts site visits and field investigations to assess project feasibility and environmental impact</li><li>Develops and implements innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges</li><li>Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in all project phases</li><li>Represents the company in client meetings and professional conferences to present technical findings and project updates</li></ul>
