Monitor operational performance to identify opportunities for improvement. Align the operational requirements with relevant global/corporate operational requirement(s), security framework(s) and/or associated regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities  <ul><li>Provide timely responses to all incidents, tasks, and requests assigned to meet Service Level Agreements.</li><li>Deploy, configure, patch, and support (physical, virtual, cloud) installations of Unix and Linux operating systems (esp. Solaris, Enterprise Linux).</li><li>Deploy, configure, and support engineered systems (e.g. Oracle ODA, Oracle Exadata, Oracle ZFS), enterprise storage platforms, and data protection platforms.</li><li>Collaborate with application teams on containerized applications providing guidance and support on architecture, optimization, scalability, and management.</li><li>Installation of agents (e.g. Oracle OEM) including configuration and reporting.</li><li>Plan, optimize, and execute transfer of on-premises Linux workloads to public/hybrid cloud environments.</li><li>Oversee third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with Avangrid’s processes, procedures, and all applicable laws/regulations.</li><li>Provide maintenance and break-fix of infrastructure technologies following the change management process.</li><li>Participate in technical implementation plans in support of infrastructure technologies.</li><li>Work with internal clients, suppliers/contractors, project teams, and other technical staff to identify, design, and support technical solutions.</li><li>Participates in the evaluation, selection, and testing of hardware and software products.</li><li>Maintain regulatory compliance under NERC/CIP guidelines.</li><li>Maintain high quality security controls surrounding the critical SCADA systems.</li><li>Perform special assignments from OSG Infrastructure leadership.</li><li>Provide first shift weekday on-site support.</li><li>Available for 24x7 rotational on call support.</li><li>Travel as required within the US.</li></ul> Required Qualifications <ul><li>BS/BA Degree in Business, Computer Science or other technical discipline. MA/MS Degree preferred. Will consider additional years of relevant experience and/or related technical certifications in lieu of degree requirement (in accordance with the FLSA Computer Professionals Exemption)</li></ul><ul><li>Education and Experience Requirements: Meet at least one of the following:</li></ul><ul><li>• AS Technical Related Degree with 12+ years’ technical experience.</li></ul><ul><li>• BS Technical Related Degree with 8+ years’ technical experience</li></ul><ul><li>• MS Technical Related Degree with 5+ years’ technical experience</li></ul><ul><li>Position requires a minimum of five (5) years’ experience working with infrastructure solutions in an enterprise environment.
