Your mission Position, Location, Department Full-time | Romania | Technical Europe Position Summary The Technical Service Engineer BESS is responsible for the on-site installation support, commissioning, grid connection, and after-sales technical service of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across Eastern Europe. The role acts as a supporting on-site technical representative, working under the guidance the Team Lead Service Delivery BESS, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality project delivery from installation through commissioning, acceptance, and post-installation support. Reporting Line Reports to: Team Lead Service Delivery BESS Major Responsibilities Site Delivery &amp; Commissioning <ul><li>Provide on-site technical support during installation, commissioning, testing, and handover of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.  </li><li>Support senior engineers in supervising installation activities and verifying compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.</li><li>Participate in system commissioning, functional testing, and grid connection activities under appropriate technical guidance.</li><li>Resolve on-site technical issues related to electrical installation and system integration, escalating complex issues where required.</li><li>Support project acceptance, punch-list resolution, and final technical handover to customers. </li></ul>After-Sales Technical Support <ul><li>Respond promptly to customer technical enquiries via remote or on-site support and ensure timely issue resolution.  </li><li>Troubleshoot hardware, software, communication, and system performance issues, with support from senior technical specialists where required.</li><li>Manage after-sales service activities through the service management system, ensuring accurate documentation and timely closure of work orders.  </li><li>Coordinate with engineering, product, and technical support teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.  </li><li>Coordinate with Sales teams to ensure effective customer communication and high customer satisfaction.</li></ul>Customer Support &amp; Training <ul><li>Support the delivery of customer training on system operation, routine maintenance, and safety procedures.</li><li>Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate complex technical issues through the appropriate support channels.</li></ul>Continuous Improvement <ul><li>Collect and communicate customer feedback, technical issues, and field observations to support product improvements.  </li><li>Maintain technical knowledge of BESS products, system architecture, and commissioning procedures through ongoing training and certification programs.</li><li>Support spare parts inventory management and ensure service tools are properly maintained.</li></ul>Performance Indicators   <ul><li>Response time to customer service requests </li><li>Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) </li><li>First-time fix / first-visit resolution rate </li><li>On-time commissioning and project handover </li><li>Technical quality of commissioning and documentation </li><li>Customer satisfaction with field service support </li><li>Compliance with EHS and site safety requirements </li><li>Accuracy and timeliness of service documentation</li></ul> Your profile Required Qualifications   <ul><li>Bachelor's degree or technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related technical discipline</li><li>Typically, 2-4 years of experience in field service, commissioning, site engineering, maintenance, or technical support within power systems, inverters, power electronics, electrical infrastructure, MV/HV installations, renewable energy, or a related technical industry</li><li>Good understanding of electrical systems, inverters, power electronics, MV/HV equipment, power conversion equipment, or Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
