Born in Texas in 2003, we own and operate over 30 utility-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects in local communities across the United States, totaling 4 gigawatts (GW) of generating capacity.  LRE continues to help meet increased U.S. energy demand through our robust pipeline of new projects every year. Domestic jobs and manufacturing are fundamental to our full-lifecycle approach to projects, along with a long-term ownership model and a company culture dedicated to our community partners and protecting the natural environment. Job Summary: The staff accountant (P1) is responsible for maintaining an accurate general ledger, preparing financial statements, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues for assigned operational projects.   Essential Functions: <ul><li>Responsible for preparing routine journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts including bank reconciliations, revenue invoicing, fixed assets, accounts payable, data entry in financial models, assist in creation of financial statements and variance analyses. </li><li>Maintains communication with Asset Managers to provide insight on the project’s financial results. </li><li>Reviews, approves and codes all payables for assigned projects. </li><li>Performs weekly cash monitoring to ensure cash balances are up to date and invoices are paid in a timely manner. </li><li>Identify and assist in the implementation of needed improvements in processes affecting the Asset Accounting Team  </li></ul><ul><li>Assists in annual financial audit by providing support for items selected by external auditors. </li><li>Other duties as required </li></ul> Qualifications: <ul><li>Bachelors in Accounting </li></ul><ul><li>Two+ years of related work experience and/or senior level courses at an accredited university  </li><li>Technical and analytical accounting background and familiarity or experience with complex accounting issues, consolidations, US and foreign GAAP issues, foreign currency translation, multiple corporate structures, equity and investment accounting. </li><li>Commitment, ability, and prior experience in meeting deadlines for monthly and quarterly reporting, and special projects; preparing thorough and complete analyses and reconciliations with appropriate documentation and follow-up. </li><li>Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage a demanding workload involving multiple tasks, responsibilities and deadlines with professional follow-through and minimal supervision. </li><li>Enjoys working in a very “hands on” and detail-oriented environment. </li></ul><ul><li>Self-starter with flexibility, desire to learn, willing to ask questions and take ownership of projects. </li><li>Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus </li></ul>Please Note: This is an in-office role, requiring on site presence in our office a minimum of three days per week with hybrid flexibility of working remotely two days per week, subject to manager and policy approval. #LIHybrid Physical Demands: <ul><li>Position will require sitting for long periods of time. </li></ul>   <h2>Applicants must have current authorization to work for any employer in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for an employment visa now or in the future.
