<div>About the RoleAs the Automotive Mechanical/EV Workshop Technician you will be part of our Technical and Customer Services team, based in our Braeside workshop and warehouse, helping keep our electric utility vehicles moving for customers, dealers and fleet operators. This is a hands-on role for someone with solid workshop experience who enjoys figuring out how things work, solving problems and getting stuck in. We’re looking for someone who can confidently work autonomously, diagnose issues and make sound decisions without needing a lot of direction, while also knowing when to pull others in. As our Workshop Technician, you’ll assemble, PDI, service, diagnose, repair and maintain electric bikes, batteries and fleet vehicles. You’ll work across mechanical, DC electrical and electronic systems, prepare vehicles for customers, investigate faults and warranty issues, and occasionally head out on-site to support our customers and fleets.You don’t need to come in knowing everything about UBCO or electric vehicles. You do need a solid technical foundation, good problem-solving skills and the confidence to take ownership of your work through to completion. It’s a physical, hands-on role, so you’ll spend most of your day on your feet working with bikes, tools, components and equipment. Because we’re a small team, you won’t be boxed into one narrow area. You’ll work alongside Customer Services, Operations, Warehouse and Engineering and pitch in where needed. What You’ll Be Doing<ul><li>Assemble UBCO bikes and complete PDI, testing and quality checks to get them ready for customers, dispatch and fleet deployment.</li><li>Service, maintain and repair customer, dealer and fleet bikes, both in the workshop and on-site when required.</li><li>Diagnose mechanical, DC electrical and electronic faults, and repair or replace components and accessories as needed.</li><li>Test ride vehicles and inspect returned products to support fault finding, warranty investigations and quality checks.</li><li>Provide practical technical support to customers, dealers and internal teams, helping solve problems quickly and clearly.</li><li>Keep accurate service, parts and customer records while maintaining a safe, organised and well-run workshop.</li><li>Work closely with the wider team to share knowledge, improve how we work and pitch in where needed, including supporting Warehouse, Engineering and customer events.</li></ul> What You’ll BringWe’re looking for someone with a solid technical foundation who can hit the ground running and work confidently and independently in a hands-on workshop environment.You’ll need to be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or hold Australian permanent residency, to be considered for this role.
