The Pre-Sales Engineer or Technical Sales Engineer plays a critical role in helping customers solve complex processing challenges. Combining technical expertise, application knowledge, and solution design skills, you will work alongside customers and sales teams to develop tailored processing solutions that improve operational performance and deliver measurable value.From product demonstrations and performance validation to system design and solution development, you will be a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer journey.Key ResponsibilitiesYou will:<ul><li>Support the consultative sales process as a technical and application expert.</li><li>Analyze customer processes, production requirements, and desired outcomes to develop tailored solutions.</li><li>Prepare technical specifications, solution designs, performance analyses, quotations, and supporting documentation.</li><li>Design and evaluate processing systems, layouts, and integrated solutions, including third-party equipment where required.</li><li>Conduct product demonstrations, field trials, testing, validation activities, and performance optimization projects.</li><li>Analyze processing performance, equipment utilization, and operational data to identify opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement.</li><li>Provide technical guidance on equipment configuration and application performance.</li><li>Deliver technical presentations, webinars, customer workshops, and reference visits.</li><li>Support Sales and Service teams through application training, troubleshooting, and customer-facing technical support.</li><li>Assess technical, operational, and commercial requirements to recommend solutions that balance performance, reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.</li><li>Conduct design reviews with cross-functional teams and support the successful handover of awarded projects to implementation teams.</li><li>Maintain solution documentation, standard specifications, and application resources within central systems.</li><li>Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitor capabilities to support solution development and business growth.</li><li>Share knowledge, best practices, and application expertise across the wider TOMRA Food organization.</li></ul>Health, safety and care for the environment come first. You are empowered to stop work if something feels unsafe, and we expect everyone to speak up so we can prevent harm and reduce our environmental impact.
