Our workforce consists of more than 65,000 professionals, present in more than 40 countries across the five continents, all contributing in our mission to design a better planet. Are you a passionate individual who wants to make a difference, promote sustainable development, and find solutions to the biggest global challenges including climate change, overpopulation, and water scarcity? Come and join us in building the infrastructure our planet needs to achieve a sustainable future. We have successfully delivered large infrastructure projects across Canada since 2001. Our leadership and expertise span the entire value chain from research and development through construction, operation and maintenance of projects. Currently involved in some of Canada’s largest infrastructure projects, ACCIONA delivers solutions that contribute to the economic and social progress of the communities in which it operates. www.acciona.ca ACCIONA is a global leader in sustainable infrastructure and renewable energy, delivering innovative, forward-thinking solutions in over 40 countries. We’re proud to be shaping some of the most complex and transformative infrastructure projects in North America. In partnership with Metrolinx, ACCIONA is playing a key role in the design and construction of the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension (ECWE), a 9.2-kilometre westward addition to Toronto’s Line 5 light rail transit network. This major infrastructure project includes seven new stations and installation of rail and systems under a progressive design-build model. Beyond its technical scope, the ECWE project represents a significant investment in sustainable urban mobility, expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 5,800 tonnes annually and eliminate over 6.5 million vehicle trips each year when combined with the full Line 5. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team on a complex, high-value project that supports long-term regional growth and environmental sustainability. If you're ready to make a meaningful impact and advance your career with a global infrastructure leader, we encourage you to apply and grow with us. The Systems Construction Manager will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely execution of all railway systems construction activities on the ECWE project. The role oversees the design constructability review, procurement strategy and documentation, installation, integration, testing support, and commissioning readiness of railway systems delivered by multiple contractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with the project requirements, safety standards, quality objectives, and construction schedules. This role leads a multidisciplinary field team (including the OCS, TPSS, S&TCS, COMMS construction managers) and coordinates directly with civil construction managers, trackwork installation crews, and systems subcontractors. The position serves as the primary construction interface between system contractors, design teams, project management and stakeholders ensuring successful coordination of field activities and effective management of construction risks, issues and interfaces. The primary objective is to manage the physical transition from civil handover to systems fit-out, driving safety, schedule, and quality control up to the point of turning a static, built asset over to the Testing & Commissioning team.

Job Description

Construction Management

Lead and manage all railway systems construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Oversee installation works for S&TCS, telecommunications, traction power, SCADA, train control, wayside systems, and associated railway infrastructure.

Ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, procedures, and project standards.

Monitor construction progress against approved schedules and key milestones.

Review specifications and design documentation from constructability perspective.

Develop the Scope of work and procurement packages.

Review procurement packages, prepare procurement report and analysis.

Ensure construction resources are effectively planned and deployed to meet project objectives.

Coordinate contractor mobilization, access requirements, and work packaging strategies.

Contractor Management

Manage the performance of railway systems contractors and subcontractors.

Verify that contractors comply with contractual obligations, construction methodologies, quality requirements, and safety standards.

Review construction work plans, method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and work permits.

Monitor contractor productivity and address performance issues as required.

Support the evaluation and resolution of contractor claims, variations, and construction issues.

Contract &
