You will provide legal advice on commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, and support the legal needs of a scaling organization in a risk-forward environment. You will partner with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate legal risks across the business while supporting the development of new business lines.<h2>What You’ll Do</h2><ul style=""><li>Partner with internal stakeholders to negotiate and close partnership deals, vendor agreements, and real estate and facility leases in support of a rapidly scaling manufacturing organization.</li><li>Lead the review and negotiation of commercial contracts, MSAs, NDAs, and other business agreements, ensuring terms are favorable and risks are well-managed.</li><li>Develop company-wide practices and standards that mitigate legal risk across cybersecurity, employment and labor law, and consumer protection.</li><li>Build scalable, business-centric legal frameworks that give the company the flexibility and speed to operate and grow without unnecessary friction.</li><li>Provide legal support across corporate transactions, including fundraising activities, tax equity, and project and asset financings.</li></ul><h2>What You'll Bring</h2><ul style=""><li>5+ years of legal experience, with a strong background in transactional work; experience in energy, utilities, or technology sectors is preferred but not necessary; startup or high-growth company experience is also preferred.</li><li>Good judgment to operate independently within a surging business.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex legal concepts into clear, actionable advice.</li><li>An entrepreneurial mindset that thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and prioritizes impact.</li><li>Passion for our work and a commitment to fueling American innovation, security, and prosperity through a more reliable grid for all.</li></ul><h2>About the Team</h2>Base's legal team owns the legal, regulatory, and compliance foundation of the Company, partnering closely with commercial teams to allow the business to operate and scale.
