Senior Web Developer (Volunteer)
Note: The following is an opportunity for flexible, part-time volunteer work to address climate change. Please DO NOT APPLY if you are only looking for paid employment. A six-month commitment is preferred. This is a remote-from-home position.

We are looking for action-oriented individuals who want to help address climate change. We are looking to scale positive impact and need people who know how to roll up their sleeves to get stuff done. Responsibilities
Work with the Web Dev Team Lead, other web developers, and cross-functional team members (e.g. designers) to build new features and enhance the existing website.
Decide on the projects you want to work on and then play the fun game of branch/commit/push/pull request to bring them to life.
Help build the web app version of Earth Hero, complementing the mobile app version.
Experiences useful in this role
3+ years of website development experience.
React + Next.JS knowledge.
Firebase or similar NoSQL databases is a bonus.
Ability to take initiative, work independently, and learn new things.

Expectations
You will work remotely and on your own schedule. Roles work best with a minimum commitment of 6 months for 3 - 5 hours a week (or more if you like!). Because our all-volunteer team is spread worldwide, we rely mostly on a combination of Slack, Github, and video calls to communicate.
If you possess a high level of self-motivation, work well independently, have good collaboration skills, and can commit quality time per week to help achieve team goals, we would love to hear from you.
