Portland, OR-based company Powin Energy raised $135M in Growth funding to expand its energy storage management systems. Read more here.
British fast-charging battery startup, Nybolt, raised $59M in Series B funding this week. The company will use the funds to build a manufacturing plant in the coming year. The company claims that its battery technology will allow electric vehicles to charge in minutes. Read more here.
Canadian low-carbon cement producer, Terra CO2 Technologies, raised $46M in Series A funding to continue research and development in low-carbon material science and expand production of its current cement alternatives. Read more here.
Another Canada-based construction tech company, Nexii, raised $35M in funding this week. The company has developed its own concrete alternative, called Nexiite, and plans to use the funds to expand production. Read more here.
Danville, VA-based textile recycling company, Circ, raised $30M in Series B funding to continue expansion by hiring more employees and expanding its facilities. The company recycles fashion waste, specifically cotton, polyester, and cotton-poly blend fabrics, and turns them back into usable textiles. Read more here.
San Francisco, CA-based company, Aquabyte, raised $25M in Series B funding to continue developing AI technology that gives fish farms insights into the heath of their fish populations. Read more here.
Canadian indoor lettuce producer, Fieldless Farms, raised $17.5M in Series A funding to expand operations at its Cornwall, CA facility. The company hopes to use this expansion to meet growing demands for its cut lettuces and introduce new products. Read more here.
Ireland-based company XFuel, raised $8.3M in Seed funding this week. The company’s technology converts biomass waste into low-cost, low-carbon, drop-in fuels that can be used in a variety of applications. Read more here.
Paris-based food-waste startup, Hors Normes, raised $7M in Seed funding to continue distributing reject inventory from producers directly to consumers. Read more here.
