Your mission We're currently seeking a talented individual to join us as a Data Team Lead. In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in guiding our team of industrial ecologists, data analysts, and quantitative researchers towards impactful outcomes in the field of circular economy and sustainability. Team Leadership<ul><li>Lead and manage a team of 3-7 industrial ecologists, data analysts and quantitative researchers. </li><li>Provide coaching to and build the capacity and learning trajectories for your team.</li><li>Create a work environment and data culture for your team to flourish.</li></ul> Content Management<ul><li>Keep up to date with the latest research, methodologies and reporting requirements in the field of circular economy and related, and ensure your team is up to date too.</li><li>Collaborate with the team on the development and implementation of new methodologies</li><li>Implement proactive quality management plans across multiple projects and within the organisation. Track performance to identify root causes of issues and implement remedial actions. Serve as the escalation point for unresolved data issues</li><li>Maintain a data workflow that spans the various quantitative approaches applied</li></ul> Delivery Management<ul><li>Meet with Project Managers on a regular basis to ensure milestones are met and high quality outputs are delivered, and to ensure appropriate resources are assigned to meet project deliverables</li><li>Support the development of a data culture, nurture strong communications with your team, functional leads, project managers and all other stakeholders</li><li>Across projects, with clients and internal team members, manage process improvements, issue escalations, workloads and provide technical expertise to junior team members</li><li>Support the team in developing a strong data workflow</li></ul> Client Relationships<ul><li>Represent CE and your team at talks with clients and stakeholders, when necessary.</li><li>Alongside a project lead, act as the primary point of contact with clients on data deliverables. Support negotiations with clients on defining data deliverables, suitable work plans and budgets.</li></ul> Your profile Skills and Competencies<ul><li>You are an experienced quantitative researcher or analyst with 5+ years of relevant experience, with some commercial experience, and can demonstrate experience in the coaching and management of colleagues. </li><li>You have a background in data and analysis, applied economics, applied econometrics more generally but demonstrated work experience and exposure to industrial ecology, sustainability analysis and reporting OR You have a background in industrial ecology, environmental engineering, ecological economics, or related domains with work experience in data management and analysis</li><li>You can demonstrate some experience in managing projects, workflows and budgets, and in working with clients. This includes developing methodologies and conceptual models and conducting data collection, aggregation and data analysis. You will be responsible for interpreting results and identifying key structural solutions for industry stakeholders and policymakers. You will be leading the writing of detailed reports, articles, and other project deliverables. You will collect and organise stakeholder feedback and learnings from projects to inform the continuous development of the methods used at Circle Economy. This will include coordinating and collaborating with internal teams to secure project execution, achieving project goals and ensuring on time and high quality delivery.  Your profile We are looking for an experienced and motivated Research Analyst to support our research work on a variety of relevant topics. You are passionate about sustainability and social justice, and wish to leverage your experience to put forward circular economy solutions. You have an understanding of the current environmental and social challenges, and how they are affecting biodiversity, ecosystem services, and, consequently, vulnerable communities. You have two or more years of work experience conducting mixed research methods; qualitative and quantitative analysis. You like to keep up to date with emerging research and methodologies in the field. Your background is in environmental sciences, industrial ecology or similar, and you have experience in environmental economics and valuation, and in decision-support tools. Ideally, you have performed or have a deep understanding of methods such as carbon footprint valuation SBTs, scenario modelling, material flow analysis, and LCA/Social-LCA, and have an affinity with social sciences. You have excellent written and spoken communication skills in English. You have experience contributing to academic and non-academic publications. You will join the Management Team of the Foundation, and together with the Foundation's Managing Director and Director of Strategy &amp; Impact oversee the management of our people, projects and programmes.
