Location: home office base UK - West Midlands / South Area Responsibilities: <ul><li>Provide technical support in order to minimize system downtime</li><li>Onsite root cause analysis, service, repair and maintenance actions</li><li>Ordering and handling of spare parts for our HPC stations</li><li>Debug systems and perform remote diagnostics on field failures by reviewing data logged</li><li>Support in developing processes, documentation and diagnostic knowledge for standard service actions</li><li>Recognize trends and patterns in field failures and feedback to the central team to drive improvements.</li><li>Work with engineering and operation teams to ensure new issues are fully investigated and that countermeasures are in place.</li></ul> Your profile <ul><li>Professional certified electrician, additional certificates in the area of Environmental, Health and Safety are welcome.</li><li>Switching permit for medium voltage devices / transformers.</li><li>Appr. 2-3 years of professional experience as a Field service technician, ideally with a similar technical equipment.</li><li>The work will require travel, sometimes on short notice, and may require extended trips; a get-it-done mentality for all of the situations is expected.</li><li>Availability for off-hours calls and work.</li><li>Technical degree in EE, Mechatronics or the equivalent.</li><li>Strong ability to work and communicate effectively with external service providers.</li><li>Excellent written and oral communications skills in English. Field Service Engineer (f/m/x) - UK

Your mission <ul><li>You will be part of an agile team with end-to-end responsibility for product functionalities within one or more business domains.</li><li>Design, build and operate scalable production systems.</li><li>Advocate for maintaining a high-quality bar, making sure quality, and testing are part of the development work from day one.</li><li>Contribute to the team’s effectiveness and efficiency through setting an example of best SW development practices.</li><li>Actively contribute in one of our Communities of Practice.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, working closely with architects other team members and stakeholders.</li><li>Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices, incorporating them into system development processes.</li><li>Identify technical debt and areas for improvement within our solutions, proposing and implementing solutions.</li></ul> Your profile <ul><li>At least 5 years of experience as Software Engineer</li><li>Advanced knowledge of at least one JVM language (Kotlin or Java)</li><li>Familiarity with frontend technologies (e.g. TypeScript and Angular)</li><li>Proven knowledge in designing Microservice architectures and Event-Driven architectures.</li><li>Strong desire to apply methodological knowledge such as domain-driven design.</li><li>Advanced understanding of cloud technologies, cloud platform operations and cloud governance with a focus on automation, analysis, modification and testing of cloud services</li><li>Experience with central logging and monitoring using tools like Grafana, Prometheus on the cloud.</li><li>Experience in modern software development and delivery practices including Continuous Integration/Delivery/Deployment (including usage of Docker, Kubernetes and Gitlab)</li><li>Passion for continuous improvement, technical and operational excellence</li><li>Passion and eagerness to learn different tools, technologies and practices that are needed to get the job done.</li><li>Empathy, readiness to coach, pair with and learn from others.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure.</li><li>Strong team player and experience in partnering effectively with cross-functional team on-shore, near-shore, and off-shore.</li><li>Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SAFe principles is a plus.</li><li>Excellent communication skills in German and English.</li><li>Mainly remote work. Participate on collaboration (Munich or Dortmund office)</li></ul>Ideally you have<ul><li>Experience with central logging, monitoring using stacks like ELK(Elastic) on the cloud, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.</li><li>ISAQB certifications are a plus</li><li>Hands-on experience working in agile environments, preferably with the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodology.</li><li>Proven experience working with distributed or remote teams across different time zones.</li></ul> Why us?
