We&rsquo;re looking for someone to supercharge our commercial operations. We&rsquo;re continually scaling our product across new markets and new clients, and we want to go even faster.
You&rsquo;ll be Axle&rsquo;s first business hire. This is a wide-ranging role that&rsquo;ll require you to move at speed across diverse topics; in return, you&rsquo;ll gain high levels of ownership and exposure. Example topics include:

This role is responsible for all things market-related. This includes:

<li>figuring out which flexibility markets we should be participating in, and staying up-to-date on changes in the market</li>
<li>entering new flexibility markets in the UK and globally</li>
<li>defining the product requirements for market participation</li>

This is a technical and domain-heavy role, but the relevant domain knowledge can be learned. To succeed in this role you&rsquo;ll need the interest &amp; ability to absorb &amp; process highly-technical information, the foresight to design &amp; execute long-term projects (and course-correct when necessary), and a &lsquo;run through walls&rsquo; attitude to overcome the barriers to get us into markets at a startup-urgent pace.

🐍 We like to build backends in Python, because it allows data scientists and engineers to collaborate closely and move quickly.
⚛️ Our frontend is React, although we also build a lot of server-rendered simple stuff without JS, because it's quick and easy to debug.
🎨&nbsp;We try a bunch of things in Figma before we build them in code, because it's a fast and cheap way to get feedback.
🐋&nbsp;Everything we build lives in Docker, for minimal cross-platform faff and maximal reproducibility.
