In this position, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will contribute to numerous phases of product design, development, prototyping, manufacturing and operational support. This position will play a critical part in Verterra Energy’s novel modular hydropower technology development process and will transition successful concepts through prototyping and into production.The successful candidate will be responsible for component and subsystem mechanical design and engineering, analysis, validation and performance testing, systems integration, part prototyping, assembly, along with on-site installation, in-field commissioning and operation, and related activities. The ideal candidate is fully conversant with electric motor and generator technologies. In this role, you will work closely with our engineering team to develop new and novel solutions and be responsible for the design, engineering and analytical validation of supporting generator frame components including structures, tooling and fixtures. Knowledge or exposure to permanent magnet designs, their engineering, analysis and fabrication is highly desired but not essential. This includes tracking shipments, managing shipping documentation, and addressing any issues that arise. </li></ul><ul><li>Mail Management: Regularly check and distribute incoming mail and packages.
