With a vision of a just and thriving Asia powered by renewable energy, Tara Climate Foundation is a new and rapidly expanding philanthropic initiative focusing on South, Southeast, and East Asia (excluding China and India). The Tara Climate Foundation is headquartered in Singapore with a team spread throughout the region.
Tara plays three main roles: providing grants to a diverse group of climate and energy transition partners; developing and assessing regional finance strategies; and the convening of partners within and across borders. Tara has more than a dozen International philanthropic funders supporting its work including the provision of grants to hundreds of civil society and research organizations, thinktanks, non-state actors, and the private sector to accelerate a just and clean energy transition.
By 2026, Tara strives to double its funding and grant making to combat climate change in this decisive decade.
