In this formative stage, your role extends beyond UX design – you’ll be shaping the very structure of our design practices and contributing to our engineering culture, influencing product direction and the overall user-centered design approach within the company. What You’ll Tackle<ul><li>Lead UX Design Projects: Drive the end-to-end UX design process, from user research and ideation to wireframing, prototyping and testing. </li><li>Define User Experience Standards: Establish and advocate for UX best practices and standards across the product lifecycle to ensure consistent and intuitive experiences. </li><li>Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with engineers, product managers and other stakeholders to create cohesive design aligned with product goals. </li><li>Conduct User Research and Testing: Plan, execute, and analyse user research sessions, usability tests, and other validation methods to inform design decisions, continually iterating on user experience. </li><li>Create Intuitive Interfaces: Design interfaces across Console, focusing on simplicity, usability and efficiency for our diverse range of users. </li><li>Contribute to Design System Development: Help build and maintain a scalable design system to ensure consistent visual language and experience across all products.</li></ul>Skills We Value<ul><li>Experience: Typically 5+ years of professional experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your work on complex, cloud-based solutions or SaaS products. </li><li>User-Centered Design: A demonstrated proficiency in UX design principles and methodologies, with hands-on experience with processes, testing, and user research.</li><li>Design Tools: Advanced skills in design and prototyping tools with a keen eye for detail and visual hierarchy. Hands-on with Tailwind CSS to create responsive interfaces that are visually appealing is a plus. </li><li>Experience with Front-End Technologies: Familiarity with (if not the ability to code) TypeScript and frameworks like Svelte or React. While Svelte experience isn’t required, a solid background in JavaScript frameworks would be beneficial. </li><li>API and Cloud Integration Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud services and understanding of API-drive architectures, ideally with experience designing interfaces that interact with Kubernetes clusters or similar backend services. </li><li>Analytical Mindset: The ability to analyse user feedback, behaviour analytics, and other data to inform design direction. </li><li>Scalable Design Systems: Experience building or working within a scalable system, contributing to a cohesive experience across product offerings. </li><li>Collaboration: Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders. </li><li>Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present design concepts and decisions clearly to a wide audience.</li></ul>Bonus Skills: <ul><li>Some understanding of Machine Learning &amp; AI: Interest in AI-drive product development, and enthusiasm for finding new ways of integrating it into UX design.</li><li>Product-Building: Some product-building experience with design focus, balancing user empathy and technical understanding.</li></ul>Why Join Evroc? You will be involved in all phases of the product lifecycle including design, architecture, development, deployment and maintenance.What You'll Tackle<ul><li>Design, develop and maintain evroc’s cloud storage offerings including S3 object storage, block storage and shared file systems.</li><li>Build components using first principles from the ground up to unlock optimization opportunities at every layer of the stack.</li><li>Optimize existing cloud storage solutions for performance ensuring low latency and high throughput, high reliability and cost effectiveness.</li><li>Work with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements. Leverage a variety of feedback channels to incorporate insights into future designs or solution fixes.</li><li>Seamlessly integrate and upkeep open-source components within our evolving tech stack. Team up with fellow engineers to craft tailored solutions meeting our unique challenges.</li><li>Lead the charge in defining and achieving our technical benchmarks.</li></ul>Skills We Value<ul><li>Proficiency in distributed systems and Linux systems engineering.</li><li>Coding in programming languages such as C, C++, Golang or Rust.</li><li>Typically 5+ years of experience in building and enhancing clustered storage solutions such as Ceph, Gluster, HDFS, Lustre or MinIO or cloud storage such as AWS S3, EBS, GCP’s Blob/Block/File Storage.</li><li>Extensive experience within the Kubernetes ecosystem developing and running highly available services. Helm, Kustomize, Knative, Rook and controller runtime knowledge is a plus.</li><li>Deep understanding of databases, file systems and storage protocols. (Bonus) experience in Solid-State Drive (SSD)/NAND or Hard Disk Drive (HDD) based storage technologies, interfaces (e.g., NVMe, SATA/SAS), and security standards (TCG).</li><li>Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques.</li><li>Active engagement or contributions to the open-source community.</li><li>Collaborative, curious, and pragmatic Software Engineer who wants to be part of an innovative team.</li></ul>Please note you do not need to have experience with all of the technologies listed above to apply.
