This position is part of TU’s California Water Program, and is based within the San Francisco Bay/ Sacramento/ Sonoma region. POSITION SUMMARYWhile the California Salmon and Steelhead Coalition Coordinator will be an employee of TU for all administrative purposes, they will work closely with staff from all three Coalition organizations, and will represent themselves in all outward-facing communications as a representative of the Coalition.  For more than ten years, the three Coalition organizations have worked together to promote the recovery of coho salmon and steelhead trout in coastal California through a shared portfolio of science, habitat restoration projects, and policy advocacy. Our staff work closely with state and federal fisheries and water management agencies at all levels, and have an increasingly influential presence at the California Legislature. Examples of our joint work include the development of streamflow criteria to apply under drought conditions, the campaign to remove the Potter Valley Project dams on the Eel River, and numerous projects with rural water users to increase streamflow through better water management and process-based restoration. We are also involved in efforts to accelerate the permitting of restoration projects and to improve the management of public restoration grant programs through the “cutting green tape” movement, and founded the California Environmental Water Network, which connects practitioners, advocates and stakeholders from across the state who are working to restore instream flows to enhance habitat for native fish and wildlife and water security for people. The California Salmon and Steelhead Coalition Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of the Coalition, including arranging and scheduling meetings, tracking outcomes and action items, and assisting with communications, fundraising, and policy documents. California Salmon and Steelhead Coalition Coordinator

<div>Description</div><div>Over the past 2 years, Trout Unlimited’s Southern Appalachian program has expanded into northern Georgia. Work there supports native and wild trout conservation projects, primarily within Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest. As a key partner, Trout Unlimited staff are now overseeing several projects across the state. These include multiple road-stream crossing replacements, implementation of a Watershed Restoration Action Plan, restoration of a high mountain bog, reducing road runoff impacts and strategic wood loading for habitat enhancement.  To advance and grow this work, TU is hiring a Georgia Project Manager/Coordinator. This person will assist in identifying, prioritizing, planning and implementing projects to improve fish passage, benefit streamflow, restore habitat, and improve water quality in watersheds heavily impacted by historical forestry practices and modern land-use issues. This position will have the opportunity to work directly with regional Project Managers and Stream Restoration Specialists to enhance their stream restoration knowledge and project management skillset. Georgia Project Manager or Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARYTU is seeking two individuals to serve as Stream Habitat Technicians from June – mid-August 2025. These positions will support our continuing strategic wood loading program and provide as-needed assistance to fisheries staff from Cherokee National Forest. The crew will be given flexibility to set their weekly schedule, with the approval of the Program Manager, as long as they maintain 40 hours per week. Given the distance to some locations, crew members should be prepared to spend 3 – 7 nights camping near project locations. TU will provide cooking equipment, food and cover the cost of campgrounds during these periods.  Crew members will gain experience with concepts of wood loading and its influence of stream habitat, use of battery-powered pole saws, stream habitat assessment protocols and other professional fisheries techniques. TU will also pay for the cost of First Aid/CPR. Work will be in remote locations in variable weather conditions and will require being in and around streams. Crew members should expect to deal with wet, slippery conditions in the field. Waders and wading boots will be provided. All work will be on the North Zone of Cherokee National Forest. Candidates will be expected to meet up each morning and travel in a provided work vehicle together. There is no office location for these positions and housing is not provided. The salary range will be $14 - $16 per hour, depending on experience. Stream Habitat Technicians - Tennessee

<div>Job Type</div><div>Temporary, Internship</div>Position SummaryTrout Unlimited (TU), in cooperation and coordination with the Nez Perce Tribe, has established this internship program for an undergraduate college student to learn about, contribute to, and participate in many aspects of TU’ s priorities, programs and projects in Idaho. TU’ s goal is to provide work experience to a college student affiliated with the Nez Perce Tribe who is interested in learning about career opportunities and activities of a national non-profit conservation organization. Working with TU staff will provide the intern with exposure to a broad range of career options. Moreover, TU will arrange meetings with partners so that the intern can learn about other types of organizations as well. The internship will last 8 weeks during the summer with specific beginning and end dates mutually agreed upon by the intern and TU. Generally, the hours will be Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM but there may be exceptions to this schedule. The intern will be notified in advance of any exceptions. The intern may be able to work from home remotely, from TU’s Boise office, TU’s Lewiston office, or the Nez Perce Tribe’s DFRM Watershed Division offices in Lapwai or a combination thereof. Idaho TU Internship 2025

<div>Job Type</div><div>Internship</div>The Expeditions Media and Fly Fishing Intern will report directly to the Headwaters Programs Coordinator and will spend 8 weeks documenting and editing transformative backcountry programs for high school and college students based in Klamath Falls, Oregon—capturing everything from watershed restoration to fly fishing adventures.
