About the RoleThe Solutions Engineer (SE) is responsible for client facing data driven decisions around module procurement. They serve as the primary technical interface between customers and our one-of-a-kind platform, acting as the subject matter expert in data driven solutions. Our Solutions Engineers drive constant innovation by leveraging Anza’s expansive product data set and optimization technology to solve novel problems for our developer and IPP customers, and provide critical feedback to Anza’s software development process to constantly improve our technology. About the RoleThe primary objective of the Lead Systems Engineer role is to apply advanced engineering techniques to design, develop, test, and evaluate multidisciplinary systems for seamless energy storage product integration across diverse projects. You will collaborate closely with customer engineering, project, and product teams, overseeing energy storage product diligence, retrofitting, integration, and commissioning from project interconnection through Commercial Operation Date (COD).As the primary technical interface between vendors, customers, and subcontractors, you will lead the interaction of these parties during project interconnection, design, construction and commissioning. To excel in this role, you must demonstrate expertise in engineering review, practical problem-solving, strategic planning, multi-party coordination, and optimizing engineering processes.You will be part of a high-performing energy storage engineering team focused on delivering exceptional customer, vendor, and subcontractor experiences by developing optimized standard plants that exceed financial and operational expectations. This role requires a continuous improvement mindset, along with the ability to lead ad hoc, cross-functional teams while thinking flexibly and strategically.Position Responsibilities Include:<ul><li>Serve as a key technical expert in the integration of energy storage products into project designs, ensuring compliance with ISO, NERC, NFPA, and other relevant standards. </li><li>Review engineering deliverables (e.g., documentation, calculations, design sets, RFI responses) from multiple disciplines, and respond to RFIs and submittals.</li><li>Assess and mitigate project risks related to design, certification, testing, systems integration, and commissioning.</li><li> Collaborate with and possess a deep technical understanding of deliverables from battery/PCS/EMS vendors, ISOs, Utilities, IPPs, EPCs, NRTLs, third-party QA/QC, and engineering consulting firms.</li><li> Conduct product diligence and develop engineering tools integrated with Anza’s platform to deliver high value quickly to platform users.</li><li> Work independently and collaboratively as the lead for of your assigned projects, identifying opportunities for improvement and pursuing them relentlessly.</li></ul>Required Skills and Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.</li><li>7-10 years of related experience in energy storage product design and integration, utility- scale energy storage facility design, construction, and commissioning.</li><li>Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (UL, NEC, NFPA, IEEE etc.).</li><li> Demonstrated experience working with fire departments, building departments, utilities, and ISO/RTOs.</li><li> Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, and Excel.
