Energy Simulation Engineer

What will you do as Senior Embedded Software Engineer? At Big Ass Battery we aim to realize an emissions-free future and kick fossil fueled energy sources to the curb. Senior Embedded Software Engineer 

Are you looking for a role in which you can combine practical and theoretical knowledge? Are you drawn to working for a scale-up, active in the energy transition, where you can still make an impact on the work you deliver and where you can help built the culture? What does your day look like?   You start the day with a cup of coffee and the MEGA-team (Mechanical &amp; Electrical) stand-up. Here you align with your colleagues on the prioritization of tasks and challenges within the team. After this start of the day, you focus on working on the electrical design topics of either new container designs or revisions of the ones already in the field. This work includes electrical systems engineering in alignment with other teams, analyzing and drafting up designs and e-schematics, contribute in the maintenance of the technical library of SolidWorks Electrical. In the afternoon you make a small round in the workshop for an update and jump in where help is needed or go into a meeting with the CTO and engineering colleagues to discuss new concepts. An hour later, a member of our sales teams shows up at your desk to help him out with the clarification of a technical customer request. To finish the day, you have a few hours to yourself to work on your items in SolidWorks. What are you going to do as Electrical Engineer? As an electrical engineer @BAB, you design, develop, and optimize electrical systems for storing energy. This includes ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability while integrating batteries with power grids or renewable energy sources, and troubleshooting performance issues. All this happens at a fast pace and the fun thing is that you can see your first (digital) line on paper come to reality at a high pace! This combined with modern 3D technology, cable harness determination and management, implementing NEN requirements and many side items from colleagues and other departments creates flexible and diverse workdays. Wat ga je doen als Service Engineer Battery Systems? Onze ambities zijn BIG en er is maar een weg die wij op willen; vooruit! We zoeken mensen die onze door onszelf in elkaar geknutselde BES (Batterij Energie Opslag) systemen in topconditie houdt. Oftewel, jij bent de superheld die storingen oplost, jaarlijks onderhoud pleegt, en klanten geruststelt als ze weer eens op de rode knop hebben gedrukt. Je komt te werken in een (nog) klein maar gezellig team met torenhoge ambities maar waar nog lang niet alles vlekkeloos verloopt. Soms werk je solo (cape mag maar is niet verplicht ;-)), en soms ga je gezellig met een collega op pad voor dubbel zoveel lol; teamwork makes the dream work, toch?Als Service Engineer krijg je niet zomaar een bus. Nee, jij krijgt een matzwarte Big Ass Battery servicebus (zeg maar de Batmobile onder de bussen) die je netjes houdt, zodat klanten denken: "Wow, die bus is bijna net zo cool als de service engineer die eruit stapt!" Je werk is elke dag anders. Het ene moment sta je in een weiland naast een innovatieve boer die energie uit zijn zonnepark opslaat, het volgende moment sta je op een bouwplaats om een kraan van stroom te voorzien (want die dingetjes gaan niet vanzelf omhoog).In de ochtend update je de software (meer dan gewoon op "volgende" klikken) en in de middag ben je bezig met 24V voedingen installeren (boren, tappen en mooi waterpas ophangen). En ja, soms vervang je Powerlocks omdat een haastige heftruckchauffeur of machinist dacht dat het een springplank was. Kortom, geen dag is hetzelfde. Het werkgebied? Heel Nederland (gezellig hé?), en als je het aandurft, gaan we ook Duitsland, Scandinavië, en de rest van Europa aan jou toevertrouwen. Als je dichter bij huis wil blijven dan is dat ook bespreekbaar mits je flexibel bent (in werktijden dan). De wereld ligt aan je voeten, of nou ja, aan je dashboard. Meewerken aan de energietransitie? Wij zijn op zoek naar meerdere elektromonteurs voor onze batterijsystemen! Wat ga je doen als elektromonteur? En daar kom jij om de hoek kijken!Wat ga jij doen als Support Engineer? Jij wordt de superheld van ons Client Experience team! Our ambitions are BIG, and in the coming years, we aim to grow and establish ourselves as a "force to be reckoned with" in the European market of Battery Energy Storage Solutions (BESS). Our prime production location in Helmond (15,000 m²) needs to be filled to the brim with orders. To achieve our ambitious commercial goals in both qualitative and quantitative ways—and to have fun while doing it—we are expanding our sales team. As a key member of our team of five, you'll have the power to engage and energize every organization you encounter, driving enthusiasm for Big Ass Battery. Your role will involve expanding our customer base within our target market segments. Your key responsibilities will include:<ul><li>Hunt down and chase new business opportunities in the BESS market</li><li>Craft and execute killer sales strategies to smash our targets</li><li>Wow potential clients with awesome presentations and onsite product demos</li><li>Build and nurture strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders</li><li>Team up with our tech team to ensure smooth project rollouts</li><li>Negotiate and seal deals, making sure everything’s on point</li><li>Keep an eye on market trends and what the competition's up to</li><li>Track your sales performance and tweak strategies for max results</li><li>Represent us at industry events, trade shows, and conferences—be our Big Ass ambassador!</li><li>Keep detailed records of your sales activities and client encounters in Salesforce</li></ul>What do we expect you need to bring to Big Ass Battery? It won't surprise you, but we are looking for people with energy! Before we go any further, let's state the obvious: you have a passion for sales, (cold) acquisition, and drumming up new business. You have experience in B2B sales, preferably with a technical product where software plays a big role. You have dealt with larger and complex sales processes, in technical complexity but also concerning the big bucks. You are ambitious, open-minded, communicative, and above all, authentic! You work solution-oriented, think creatively and innovatively, and are incredibly results-oriented. You know better than anyone that selling starts with a "no." Still with us? Great!
