With autarc we are building the leading heat pump OS for HVAC installers in Europe to accelerate the transition to low carbon homes. Heating with gas and oil accounts for 30% of Europe's CO2 emissions, and we are at the forefront of combating this environmental concern. The problem: Installers are eager to install more heat pumps but are hindered by a broken installation process. Our solution leverages LiDAR technology and AI to cut the overall project time of heat pump installations by 50%. We integrate a CRM, planning, and design tool into an all-in-one platform. By capturing hundreds of data points in minutes rather than hours, we empower installers to confidently shift their business to the right technology – heat pumps.

Company Founded in Berlin, autarc is a 15 person start-up who were part of Y Combinator’s S24 batch in San Francisco. Our team consists of people in Sales, Tech and Operations, with the Engineering department currently 6 people and looking to grow to 11 by Q2 2025. Role description You will be working alongside the CTO and 2 other Engineers to help design and improve the core product, which is focused on heat pumps. As the company plans to expand its operations for other renewable energy sources, you’ll work closely with another team who serve the same function but for solar-based services.  Before the end of the year, you will help polish and fine tune their web-based product. Then, over the course of the first 3-6 months of 2025, you will help build a brand new app from scratch, which will serve their customers and expand how the product will be utilised by their multidisciplinary customer base.  As a Junior within the team, you will be exposed to working in a tight-knit team in building something from the ground up. Junior Fullstack Engineer

Our team consists of people in Sales, Tech and Operations, with the Product department currently consisting of a Senior Product Designer and the CEO. Role description As one of the first Product hires, you will be responsible for working on entire design processes from idea generation to implementation, taking into account firm company goals whilst also understanding consumer needs. You’ll be building prototypes and mockups that are then presented to customers for genuine and accurate feedback. This is where your creativity will come into play, with the freedom to want to try new things and test new hypotheses.  In your first month, you will grow to learn more about our design systems and support existing infrastructure. Following that, you will contribute towards building a product to cater for additional renewable energy services, as well as implement other solutions to broaden the scope of the software and its features.  Wearing a Product Manager hat, you will also be responsible for being in frequent communication with customers, understanding their needs but also their frustrations. You’ll be part of the development lifecycle and work alongside Engineering teams to support them in building user-centric features. Other responsibilities include:<ul><li>Conducting interviews for customer research</li><li>Present prototype designs to core clients</li><li>Work pragmatically and not get caught up on user stories</li><li>Focus on UI 60-70% of the time</li><li>Create wireframes for a robust infrastructure</li><li>Participate in 3x weekly Design workshops</li></ul> This is a start-up environment, so you must be willing to get your hands dirty!
