We are seeking a Director, Project Management Office (PMO) to lead the creation and standup of a world-class project management office utilizing project management best practices, for a high-growth startup. Reporting directly into the COO, the Director, PMO will work alongside executive stakeholders to lead across our many high-profile engagements and services group, to drive the development, implementation, and refinement of processes and procedures to ensure successful engagement outcomes and operational excellence of our rapidly expanding services offerings.

Euclid Power’s services group was born out of the founders unwavering commitment to process and ‘doing the right thing.’ We have witnessed firsthand how portfolios in the renewable power industry suffer from cost overruns, massive schedule delays, uninformed stakeholders, overlooked project risks, and many, many dead deals. We were continuously frustrated with the lack of competent technical expertise, data and process management and under-prioritization of deal continuity and organization. Whether it was development and execution on a single 300MW site, or a portfolio of 150kW rooftop projects, deal execution always fumbled through the same unstructured and ambiguous process, masked in uncertainty as to where to start or where to head next. What You’ll Do
Lead the creation and framework buildout of the Project Management Office (PMO) in conjunction with the COO
Run center of excellence for services team, ensuring proper capacity planning, resource allocation and assignment, and staff utilization across active & future engagements.
Define, develop, and implement best practices and standardize roles, methodology, and tools for each engagement team
Ownership of defining process around the creation, development, refinement, and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOP) across company & services group. Including SOP work assignment, feedback intake process, and incorporation
Push forward the roll out of process for engagement billing/invoicing, contract negotiation, vendor onboarding, contract compliance tracking, and ancillary support services for leverage by the services team
Improve quality and utilization of resources for delivery, and promote globalization of skillset, business knowledge and systems development overall
Aid in refinement of team onboarding workflows, training modules & regimen development, team resource library and aggregation of the team knowledge bank
Ensure company project management methodologies, stakeholder engagement, executive status reporting, and overall solution delivery adheres to best practices and firm guidelines
Ensure team and engagement compliance with SOPs, company standards and specifications, and overall adherence to company values
Coordination between other internal business units (Customer Success & Support) to ensure objective and process continuity
Work in conjunction with COO/Founders to lead annual and mid-year resource and budget planning and ongoing financial reporting/reforecasting activities across engagements
Lead a team of employees, providing strategic and tactical direction, coaching, and developing talents, evaluating performance, and recommendations for career path forward
Other duties as assigned
Travel is expected to be about 10%
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum of 8 years of experience in a hands-on leadership role within project management, preferably within the technology and/or renewable energy sector, with experience originating and standing up an internal or external project management office (PMO). Experience reporting to C-level executives preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience specifically working with or within a PMO or project management leadership function.
Extensive experience leading large company-wide project management programs and solution delivery teams inclusive of scope, scheduling, budgeting, and project planning
Expert communicator and negotiator with exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to scale companies in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Strong knowledge of project management principles and best practices including estimation, project planning, resource planning, issue management, risk management, change management, communication planning
Experience transforming teams through technology, organization, culture, process, and business change management.
Hands-on leader, visionary, and problem solver with a passion for excellence.
Ability to work hands on with team members to inspire and motivate all levels of staff towards strategic delivery goals.
Engagement champion who understands how employee engagement directly influences business results
Prior renewable energy experience or understanding of a PV (photovoltaic) or battery energy storage system (BESS) lifecycle a plus
PMP and/or Scrum Master – preferred, but not required
