Where in the world of OVO will I be working?
You’ll be working as part of OVO’s Partnerships team, which is a commercial function focussed on Business to Business partnerships and is OVO’s largest customer acquisition channel. We engage businesses to help us access potential new customers, and then engage those customers on a membership journey in OVO. We work with over 140 commercial partners - ranging from: housing associations, letting and estate agents, local authorities, EV companies, media companies, and data providers. You will work across OVO’s family of businesses, including Corgi and OVO’s home services arm.
What will I be doing?
As Brand Partnerships Manager, you will be instrumental in driving forward the channel plan for OVO within the brand partnership space. This is a key commercial role focussed on delivering win-win partnerships. You will be a tenacious self starter, confident in your ability to deliver versus a sales target that you will be directly responsible for.
Commercial activity will range from engaging, securing and onboarding household brands with a multi million customer base. You will be instrumental in delivering deals from a strong pipeline of new business opportunities.
This role will require a balance of business development (end-to-end onboarding) as well as strong account management to implement partnership plans and ensure maximum returns for the business.
We are looking for a commercial sales professional, who is aligned with our core values, has demonstrated success in building successful commercial partnerships, and can get going quickly.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Own the overall Brand Partnership sales channel’s budgeting, forecasting and phasing process;
Own the new business sales number for Brand Partnerships, and deliver it in conjunction with the wider team;
Take ownership for all aspects of the sales process from planning sales and marketing campaigns, to cold calling, negotiation, and drawing up client contracts;
Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets;
Build and lead a sales pipeline for Brand Partnerships supporting OVO group businesses and +1 products.;
Engage and influence senior external customers, often at C-Suite level, representing the OVO brand;
Be the Brand partnerships champion and be an active member of not only the partnerships team, but within the wider Growth and Commercial Teams;
Engage and influence colleagues across the organisation, including: finance, legal, product development/tech, marketing, customer care/services - and across OVO’s family of businesses.
Grow commercial value - sales (customer base) & overall revenue from existing or new partnerships.
Ideally you will have:
Excellent sales skills and proven track record in delivering success;
Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets;
Effective influencing, negotiating and deal-closing skills;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for establishing relationships with partners and internal team members;
Confidence in handling and communicatisophisticatedlex subject matter;
Highly driven and confident working under own initiative to hit target

Project management and organisational skills;

The ability to analyse sales figures and write reports;

It would be advantageous if you had experience in the following:
