<div><div>Grant WriterPosition Overview SummaryThe Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) is seeking a seasoned Grants Writer to support our global fundraising efforts, with a focus on grant writing and communications. Our mission is to accelerate the transition to a diverse, sustainable, and profitable energy economy. To do this, IEEFA seeks to inform and influence policymakers, investors, media, and communities through rigorous, fact-based financial analysis. The person in this role is critical to our success and a valued partner. We are looking for a teammate eager to learn how our energy finance research and communication strategies drive impact, and capture that story through exceptional writing and creativity.  This is a remote position, with occasional need to travel for in-person meetings and events.  IEEFA’s $12M annual budget is funded through grants from over 30 public, private, and family foundations, including a significant portion of multi-year grants. Our funding is highly relationship-driven. While most of our funding comes from US-based funders, we also receive support from foundations in Europe, Asia, South Asia, and Australia.  Headquartered in the United States, IEEFA has a team of analysts, communications, and administrative personnel located across the globe.  IEEFA produces a significant volume of original research, as well as ongoing analysis and reports. ESSENTIAL DUTIES<ul><li>Researches, develops, and drafts grant proposals and concise grant reports that capture the critical details relevant to funders  </li><li>Submits proposals, reports and requested documentation through various funder online portals, troubleshooting, and communicating with funder staff as needed</li><li>Gathers and synthesizes information on IEEFA’s programmatic work and communications products to present to funders; engages with IEEFA program staff to understand organizational priorities and impact</li><li>Creates regular, ongoing and specialized communications to donors matching their interests and specific funding to IEEFA- leveraging IEEFA data visualizations</li><li>Collaborates with Director of Development and Grants to build effective and comprehensive funder strategies to drive success</li><li>Conducts ongoing prospect research to identify and qualify new funding opportunities</li><li>Works with the Director of Development and Grants to support program staff and ensure adherence to all grant requirements</li><li>Collaborates with the CEO and the Director of Development and Grants to produce a concise and visually engaging annual report </li><li>Maintains knowledge of requirements, practices, and procedures for soliciting, writing, receiving, reviewing, and processing proposals</li><li>Assists the Director of Development and Grants on overall grant management policies and procedures in accordance with industry best practices; strengthens organizational efficiency by improving and tracking grant material processes: proposals, contracts, and funder requirements</li></ul> Required Qualifications<ul><li> Minimum of 4 years (6 preferred) of demonstrated success in: writing effective grant proposals; writing timely and relevant progress reports and final reports; securing six-figure grant awards and higher</li><li> Experience in maintaining a grants management system or funder database; including monitoring grant deliverables, timelines, and grant spending</li><li> Strong writing skills in English, including reliable written grammar and persuasive writing skills</li><li> Love of learning, and ability to learn quickly with an exceptional ability to process, understand, synthesize, and successfully assimilate information</li><li> Excellent project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment</li><li> Able to think strategically and convey impact to various audiences</li><li> Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion</li><li> Team-oriented; able to interact professionally with a diverse population of international colleagues and stakeholders</li><li> Highly organized; able to check work-products for accuracy, set priorities, and meet objectives and deadlines with limited direction while working remotely</li></ul><ul><li>Commitment to IEEFA’s mission to accelerate the transition to a diverse, sustainable and profitable energy economy</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications<ul><li> Experience working with an international nonprofit/NGO</li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with issues in IEEFA’s field of work (energy, finance, or climate issues)</li></ul><ul><li> Experience addressing criteria for measuring the impact of grant-funded work; proficiency collecting, organizing and analyzing meaningful program data and evaluation metrics</li><li> Experience with data visualization and presenting statistics in meaningful ways, such as charts and tables, to internal and external audiences</li></ul> Education <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree required</li></ul> Salary$68,130-$79,485; Salary commensurate with experience. <div><div>Regional Director, Europe The Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) is seeking a Regional Director for a contracted consultant role based in Europe.  IEEFA is a rapidly-growing NGO/non-profit think tank that conducts research and analysis on financial and economic issues related to energy finance markets, trends and policies. Headquartered in the United States, IEEFA has a global team of analysts and communications personnel, including significant presence in the greater Asia Pacific region and a growing Europe-based team and network of partners. The Europe team works collaboratively with IEEFA colleagues and other organizations both internationally and in the region. IEEFA produces a significant volume of original research, as well as ongoing analysis and reports on issues affecting energy, and finance industries. Our major research reports, daily commentaries, press coverage, and other resources can be found on our website: www.ieefa.org. The organization’s research products and commentary are used by a variety of organizations and individuals involved in the energy and finance industry, including investors, just-transition organizations, environmental organizations, business and labor leaders, market analysts, academic researchers and educators, legislators, attorneys and government administrators. IEEFA’s work is widely cited across the mainstream press and in trade publications. Role and Responsibilities The Regional Director, Europe, will serve in a leadership role on IEEFA’s Europe team, working alongside regional and global research and communications professionals to ensure that IEEFA meets its strategic goals. The Europe team is one of five regional teams at IEEFA (including Asia, Australia, North America, and South Asia), all of whom are supported by a centralized administrations staff based in the U.S. The regional leaders all serve on IEEFA’s Global Management Team. The Europe director manages regional operational functions across research, outreach and communications, with an inclusive, supportive approach that identifies opportunities for continuous improvement.  The Europe team currently consists of five research analysts and two communications professionals.   Leadership<ul><li>Provide leadership, direction and advice in the development of the research and communications program, operational and financial plans.</li><li>Gain continuous knowledge about energy finance issues and industry, government and investor trends affecting this area.</li><li>Maintain a future-focused mindset, with the ability to analyze initiatives and programs and learn from experience, while adapting to new conditions quickly.</li><li>Demonstrate expertise and conviction to energize, inspire and influence others.</li><li>Build and strengthen relationships with professionals from partner organizations in the region to maximize coordination and impact.</li><li>Participate in monthly calls and annual meetings of the global management team, as well as occasional IEEFA board meetings when required.</li><li>Co-lead global initiatives with other regional directors when appropriate </li></ul> Fundraising and Grant Management<ul><li>Cultivate and manage relationships with key funders of IEEFA’s work in the region, working in close collaboration IEEFA’s Director of Development, CEO, and relevant regional personnel.</li><li>In collaboration with IEEFA’s Development team and CEO, monitor the funder landscape and continually explore new funding opportunities, participating where appropriate in direct engagement with funders.</li><li>Ensure deliverables are accounted for in Europe’s work programs.</li><li>Work with the Development team to ensure timely completion and submission of funder reports and proposals.</li></ul> Research<ul><li>Overall responsibility for developing and ensuring the research program is strategically aligned to IEEFA’s mission.</li><li>Ensure there is a coherent and collaborative approach to research and knowledge sharing across the IEEFA team, both within and outside Europe</li><li>Support the work of the analysts in the region to optimize their expertise and leverage their skills.</li></ul> Outreach and Communications<ul><li>Overall responsibility for overseeing the communications strategy, the work of IEEFA’s Europe communications team, and the measurement of outreach and communications impact.</li><li>Ensure coordination with IEEFA's other regional communications team leaders.</li><li>Provide input and make recommendations for delivery of IEEFA’s content and the development of new communications tools such as websites, databases, and digital strategies.</li></ul> Human Resources<ul><li>Manage team recruitment in collaboration with the Human Resources Division including onboarding, offboarding, monitoring of contracts and funder deliverables.</li><li>Hire, develop and supervise regional staff as needed.</li><li>Provide a challenging and goal-oriented environment while working with staff to develop and grow their skills and expertise.
