Moltex Energy is developing a next-generation nuclear reactor that can produce clean electricity at a lower cost than fossil fuels. Moltex Energy is a privately-held international company set up to solve the world's most pressing challenge: safe and economical clean energy. The technology is based on molten salt fuel in conventional fuel assemblies. Existing stockpiles of spent nuclear fuel can be used as the fuel source and the electricity produced is entirely flexible.
