Pachama is looking for a strategy & finance team member to drive strategic analysis and financial decision-making at our growing company. In this role, you will help shape Pachama’s business model and build the foundations of a world-class FP&A function. You’ll also support investor relations and be a thought leader to our business partners. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated interest in climate tech, and a track record of success in unstructured, startup environments. LocationThis role is remote within the United States. However, being within 3 hours of Pacific time is preferred for this role given cross-functional communication responsibilities. Responsibilities
Identify new opportunities that grow Pachama’s business, owning projects from initial scoping to final recommendation
Own the corporate financial model and create company forecasts
Support annual planning and quarterly budgeting process
Assist with capital raise activities, board slides, and investor communication
Partner with various departments to evaluate strategic initiatives and be the main point of analytical/consulting help
Develop KPIs and build dashboards to monitor company performance
We’re looking for
4-7 years of related experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or corporate finance / FP&A at a high-growth startup
Exceptional proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and Keynote/PowerPoint
A thoughtful work style that can think about hard problems from first principles, but also dive deep into the numbers
High degree of ownership, directly framing and influencing Pachama’s most strategic decisions
Understanding of public and private capital markets
Proven ability to build trusting relationships with business partners and present to executives
Experience in a B2B industry or working with sales teams is a nice to have
Absolute passion for our mission and a belief that we can make an impact to solve climate change
