Confluence Philanthropy is a non-profit, membership-based network with a mission to transform the practice of investing by aligning capital with our community’s values of sustainability, equity, and justice.
Members include private, public, and community foundations; family offices; individual donors; and their values-aligned investment advisors representing over $3.5T in managed capital. Position Overview
The Digital Associate is primarily responsible for designing and implementing online/email marketing and social media content. The position is ideal for a tech-savvy and well-organized digital communications professional who has experience with email campaign platforms, social media, Adobe Suite, website design and maintenance, video, and who knows the value of effective CRM systems and data management.
The Digital Associate supports all aspects of program and member communications, including creating customized promotions for Confluence events, branding consistency on Confluence material, and content sharing within and outside of our network. This position requires a creative high performer who is well-organized and who enjoys working with a small team in a fast-paced office environment. A successful hire will have strong attention to detail, a warm and open digital communication style, and a passion for social media.
Compensation: $60k - $65k annually, full-time, plus generous health, retirement, and vacation benefits.
Location: New York, NY (Once COVID restrictions have been lifted, this position will be expected to work Monday through Friday in the Confluence Philanthropy office in Manhattan).
Hours: Work hours are mostly regular business hours, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday with some weekends and evenings particularly around our major conferences. Hours are shorter in the summer months.
Primary Responsibilities:
Annual Conferences & Website Support: Produce websites for three annual conferences (Practitioners Gathering, Advisors Forum, and Climate Solutions Summit) and smaller day-long events when needed. Ensuring we’re sharing strong program/event content, speaker and member information, blogs, and other content as needed.
Marketing & Communications: Manage online content delivery platforms and coordinate online and offline production of promotional material for all educational events, member blogs, and other program content. Create quarterly newsletters and other specialized communications as needed. You will play a critical role in ensuring we are effectively highlighting our community’s work.
Social Media: Create branded graphics to accompany posts for all Confluence communications on social media. Support in the development of social media strategies and manage social media content distribution. Drive brand visibility in collaboration with the Development Team.
Content Creation: Support the production of podcasts, videos, blogs, and other member-directed content in collaboration with our program team.
Data Management: Optimize engagement by effectively utilizing our data management tools to track and segment our digital outreach and impact.
