THE ROLE

We are looking for a rockstar Strategy & Growth Manager who will guide us through our next phase of growth in the UK. Expect to wear many hats, work hand-in-hand with the rest of the UK team, and have career coaching that will enable your growth beyond this role and further within the business.

The Strategy & Growth Manager will report directly to the UK General Manager and work hand in hand with counterparts in the EU and Australia teams, as well as leaders within the UK business.

The UK business has seen exponential growth in 2021 driven by deals with delivery businesses that want to invest in rider safety and efficiency, and in particular supported by the recent wave of Convenience Grocery delivery growth. We need someone to see us through the next wave of growth, which we expect to be just as supercharged. RESPONSIBILITIES

Help us achieve our next 10X growth in the UK through:

  • Growth Strategy; helping us to build a plan for the future including answering key questions:
    • Which business segments should we be focusing our sales efforts, and how many deals do we need to make to meet our sales targets?
    • As we also target individual customers (non-businesses), how should we position ourselves? Should we go after commuters or stick to couriers?
    • How do the answers to the above questions change as our hardware team in Australia make more and more vehicle types available to us next year?
    • How many cities in the UK should we expand to to meet our growth targets, and how should we operate in those cities?
  • Performance Management; scope out and coordinate the performance management metrics, dashboards and processes needed to ensure that we meet our targets
  • Cross-Functional Project Management: scope and implement cross-functional projects for the business ensuring Zoomo is able to deliver on key results
  • Relationship Management and Team Building: be the voice of the Strategy & Growth team UK to counterparts in the EU and Australia. Additionally, we will want this person to build up the Operational Strategy team, so we are looking for a candidate with strong leadership qualities who will be able to attract and hire other rockstars

Requirements

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

  • Bachelor's degree, with at least 2-4 years experience in consulting, strategy, operations, project management or any other related fields
  • Owners mindset and an ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment
  • Track record of building things from the beginning and getting things done
  • Excellent communication with the ability to engage and align internal stakeholders
  • Analytical expertise along with experience leveraging data to inform and support critical decisions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Relevant industry (bike, automotive, mobility, startup, technology) experience advantageous
