Voltus is looking for a Product Manager to further our portfolio of products that increase value to our customers on top of their participation in wholesale electricity markets. This is an exciting opportunity to grow a nascent business line within a fast growing organization. This starts with tapping into unrealized value for customers from 24/7, real-time access to their electricity usage data. You will be responsible for growing our current offerings, rapidly launching new products and building a vision for the future. You will be directly responsible for improvements to Voltus’ gross margins. You will deliver this exceptional value to our customers and business at scale by researching market requirements and customer needs, identifying and evaluating technical solutions, establishing roadmaps, and coordinating with Design and Engineering to execute on ongoing initiatives. You are an enthusiastic right-brain communicator, with extremely strong left-brain technical capability. You love sketching out detailed user stories, user personas, and technical specs. You gobble up user research and product analytics, pushing us to become even more data-driven than we already are. You are eager to work with some of the smartest software engineers and product managers out there, and to learn from and collaborate with them and other Bright, Gritty, and Good colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Own the development and success of our Extended Services products
Build best-in-class user experience for these products that drives high adoption, satisfaction, retention
Perform user and market research, define and refine business requirements with key internal and external stakeholders
Gather and prioritize stakeholder needs, communicate them in simple and transparent terms and maintain a product backlog and build a roadmap
Oversee the entire product development process, from scoping to detailed specification to implementation and testing to making sure the product meets user needs and is delivered on time
Manage the day-to-day efforts of ongoing initiatives, from managing standups, to triaging bugs, to providing project updates to the organization
Partner with cross-functional teams within Voltus to ensure the product is successful, adequately supported, integrated with the company’s operations and aligned with our business strategy.
Define and track metrics to monitor progress and success of Extended Services products
Work closely with Engineering to write technical scopes and documentation
Qualifications
2-3 years of experience in product management
Experience developing successful SaaS products
Demonstrated excellence with rigorous continuous discovery habits
Self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple work streams simultaneously
Strong understanding of technical concepts and software technologies
Ability to distill data into actionable insights
Equally strong written and verbal communication skills
Bonus: experience working in the cleantech industry
