Are you passionate about research and excited about new technologies? We are looking for a conscientious and hardworking R&D technician to join our Research team. As a technician on our team, you'll help support our groundbreaking experiments!
Job Description:
In accordance with all safety policies and procedures, you will collaborate with scientists and engineers to support their experiments. Process and test new materials for R&D experiments.Build coin cells, pouch cells, and QuantumScape proprietary devices per SOPs or with scientists' oversight. Assist with general wet lab work and support solid-state materials processing experiments.Document daily experiments and communicate completion status using MS Office applications.Notice and give feedback for anomalies or unexpected results.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
You are able to handle a dynamic research environment.You are ready to learn a range of lab skills.You are flexible and can collaborate on different projects with researchers.You are comfortable using software for task completion and logging data.
Minimum Requirements:
A minimum of a high school diploma with at least 2 years experience in a lab R&D environment or a technical degree from a 2-4 year program.A commitment to delivering high quality resultsSharing our real passion for our mission.Basic computer software skills, including Microsoft Office and a browser.Ability to work a compressed work week (Sunday through Tuesday, every other Wednesday)
Physical Requirements:
Working in a glovebox.Working in a dry room.
