The Responsibly Sourced Gas Market Specialist is part of the Sales team reporting to the Market Develop Advisor. This person will serve as the internal and external expert on RSG (Responsibly Sourced Gas) market development in a rapid-growing early-stage tech startup.

Requirements

• Participate in supporting the growth of Project Canary’s ESG data platform including working with the internal customer success team as well as contracting, legal, and strategic planning
• Establish a presence in new and key strategic end use markets
• Build and maintain relationships with end use customers including utilities, municipalities, LNG exporters as well as commercial and industrials accounts
• Educate the market on the long-term benefits of purchasing Project Canary’s TrustWell Certified and continuously monitored RSG
• Serve as the internal and external expert on RSG market developments and issues impacting individual customers in target markets
• Provide credible and accurate data to support key markets in their net zero targets
• Participate in industry conferences to educate and inform industry leaders regarding Project Canary
• Participate in developing overall market view through customer interactions to gain market intelligence and communicate this information back to Project Canary’s internal team

Education and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or Engineering
• 5+ years of related experience
• Familiarity with supply and demand fundamentals, and customer contacts in natural gas markets
• Knowledge of NAESB type standard agreements
• Ability to articulate fundamentals driving the current and future Responsibly Sourced Gas “RSG” market (Supply/Demand/Infrastructure)
• Strong commercial acumen with experience and understanding of energy markets and across natural gas value chain (upstream, midstream and downstream markets)
• Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships with all levels and business units of the organization
• Knowledge of US natural gas pipeline grid
