About the Role:

As a GSOC Associate Manager for the Cruise Global Security Operations (GlobalSec) team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Cruise’s Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) program. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to leading incident management, enhancing communications, improving documentation, overseeing alarm monitoring, dispatching, and intelligence, and acting as the subject matter expert for all additional workflows that are a part of the GSOC’s 24/7 operations. In addition, the GSOC Associate Manager will ensure operational continuity and vendor performance through management of SLAs, as well as continuously seek ways to improve the overall performance of the program.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage and oversee incident response at a global scale including crisis management, communications, documentation, and after-action workflows.
  • Work with Global Security leadership and develop relationships with cross-functional stakeholders on proactive and reactive program improvements
  • Provides information, resources, and recommendations to leadership during crisis situations
  • Available to serve in an on-call capacity for incident response and crisis management
  • Lead a contracted staff of GSOC Operators and Supervisors including training, mentoring, and providing quality control oversight of all work
  • Develop policies and procedures that govern the operations of the GSOC
  • Monitor and track Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the GSOC program
  • Track and monitor vendor performance through Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and drive associated metrics
  • Evaluate software and process solutions to improve operations
  • Utilize critical thinking to develop and execute program tasks
  • Perform quality assurance functions and maintain project integrity
  • Evaluate and apply industry best practices around emergency management to support project work.
  • Engage with vendors to understand capabilities and limitations around software, and to propose feature enhancements/integrations

What you must have:

  • Available to serve in a 24/7 on-call capacity for incident response and crisis management
  • 4+ years of experience managing a security operations center
  • Demonstrated familiarity with access control, video management, and emergency communication systems
  • Demonstrated experience with Google Suite, Slack, Jira, and other data visualization tools
  • Experience in leading large vendor teams
  • Experience in analyzing complex data sets and information
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with little direct supervision and take initiative to solve problems
  • Ability to work well and collaboratively with others

  • Familiarity with new and emerging technologies in the physical/global security space
  • CPP, PSP, or similar ASIS certifications
