Job Description

Redaptive is seeking a Manager of Data Science. If you are a Data Science leader with experience building production data analyses, models, and visualizations, interested in driving energy-efficiency to scale then you may be a great fit for Redaptive’s Manager, Data Science role.
The Manager, Data Science at Redaptive is responsible for leading our data science team in identifying data science opportunities in our energy-efficiency platforms and then driving the implementation of these opportunities. The Data Science team at Redaptive is responsible for our Measurement and Verification (M&V) algorithms, advanced energy data modeling and visualizations, risk analytics, and more. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Engineering & Data Science.
This role can be based remotely anywhere in the USA and will work closely with international teammates. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with product and senior management to identify and prioritize high value opportunities to incorporate data science into Redaptive’s sustainability platforms.
  • Drive the delivery of data science functionality into our production cloud-based SaaS platforms through close collaboration with Software Engineering and DevOps.
  • Hire, develop, and retain top-tier data scientists, analysts, and machine learning engineers.
  • Develop the data science practice at Redaptive by setting best practices, development process, standard tooling, and a culture of continuous learning / innovation.
  • Willingness to dive in hands-on with our large-scale energy data to contribute to implementation and analyses, rapidly prototype new ideas, and support data questions. 

Job Requirements/Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience: 2+ years leading teams building cloud-based data science products at scale, 3+ years as a hands-on data scientist or machine learning engineer.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering, computer science, statistics, economics, or similarly quantitative field.  Degrees in other disciplines will be considered with relevant work experience.
  • Experience working with data from the electrical power and/or energy industries.
  • Good familiarity with Python, its data ecosystem, and modern machine learning techniques and libraries.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills including the ability to tailor and deliver presentations on complex data analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Have an ergonomically correct and functional work-from-home workstation set up; amenable to working from home for the foreseeable future

Colorado applicants: The expected annualized salary compensation for this position is $151,800. This estimated salary represents the typical starting rate of candidates hired in Colorado. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include relevant experience, skills, and your remote work location. Redaptive offers subsidized medical, dental and vision plan coverage, a 401(k) match, participation in our equity plan, and an annual At-target incentive bonus opportunity of at least 10% of salary at 100% achievement (actual achievement % will vary).
