Job Description

About us

RightHandGreen is building "climate benefits": software for employers to subsidize EVs, eBikes, renewable electricity, rooftop solar, heat pumps, induction stoves, and more for employees at home. Our mission is to work with corporations to eliminate 1/3rd of total US emissions from employees’ energy use in cars and homes. It's a huge, messy problem, but one that we think software can help solve.

Our co-founders are experienced entrepreneurs who are committed to slowing climate change. We're mission-driven, early in our journey, funded by awesome investors, and looking to bring on core team members to help us scale.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for a founding researcher who is committed to scientific integrity and transparency, and who wants to make a meaningful contribution to reducing residential carbon emissions at scale. You will:

  • Model household carbon emissions, expected costs, and energy usage of a range of decarbonization-focused technologies.
  • Incorporate this information into guides, tools, and analyses used in our products.
  • Work with academics, climate orgs, and corporations on verifiable methodologies and standards to quantify RightHandGreen's impact.

Qualifications

  • Interest in working for a mission-focused company addressing climate change.
  • Experience researching and modeling home energy use.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Desire to be a founding team member with the associated ownership & upside.
