Job Description:
Atomo Coffee is currently seeking a Facilities and Maintenance Manager who is self-motivated and highly organized! You are dependable, adaptable and are excited about working in a start-up environment, which includes wearing many hats, being able to jump across the aisle to help a colleague and lead multiple projects across different locations effectively and efficiently.
The Facilities and Maintenance Manager will be a key member of the operations team in Coachella Valley at our Ingredient Processing Facility. They will lead the maintenance team, take ownership of keeping Atomo facilities up to code and safety as well as assist in the build out of new facilities. This role will report directly to the Plant Manager.
What You’ll Do:
Oversee all functions of building systems including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, life/fire safety, and waste management.
Work with Director of New Facilities Development as boots on the ground for vendors, construction crews, and contractors
Manage vendor relationships for utilities, waste management, security, and building landlords
Manage all maintenance for Atomo’s Ingredient Processing Facility
Create regular preventative maintenance schedules and train production staff on “quick fixes”
Recognize both internal and external customers and manage relationships
Managing inventory of supplies and equipment
Work with quality team to establish proper sanitation protocols, train staff and manage overall sanitation as well as pest control
Train in all production practices to proficiency to be able to train new employees
Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with 4+ years of progressive leadership experience
Strong attention to detail and time management with ability to balance multiple projects in a effective manner
Reliable transportation and ability to travel between buildings and businesses as work is needed
Licensing and regulatory compliance in accordance with California
Forklift and pallet-jack certification
Knowledge of plant mechanical processes sufficient to analyze performance trends and recommend and initiate corrective actions to improve process performance
Critical team player, willing to jump in and learn production as well as train colleagues on your skillset
Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:
Stand for extend periods of time
Walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, and climb over equipment within the production area as well as loading zones
Converse in a range of environments from loud production areas to office space.
The employee must be able to:
Use hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds often, using proper bending and lifting. Lift 25 pounds overhead repeatedly and safely.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include near and far vision, depth perception, color determination, hand/eye coordination, and hand/eye/foot coordination and the ability to adjust focus.
Other required abilities include reading, calculation, measuring, planning, interpreting, explaining, and compiling data.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however louder noise levels may be experienced when production is occurring or when maintenance work is being performed. Environmental conditions in the plant include exposure to elevated surfaces, vibration, moving objects, noise, slippery floors, electrical hazards, heat, and mechanical hazards.
Additional Details: Annual Pay Range: $75-90k
