The Capital Projects Team develops, coordinates, and directs projects in design and construction of processing plants utilizing Twelve’s proprietary technology. We work closely with both Business Development and R&D to implement and scale up our technologies, utilizing EPC contractors for the engineering and construction of large-scale plants.

We are currently looking for a project coordinator to join our team. The ideal fit will have a strong background in work plan development and project oversight at engineering design firms, chemical plant operations and/or construction projects.

Job Brief

In this position, you will work with internal and external teams to monitor the daily progress of projects and provide detailed updates to project management and key stakeholders. These projects involve the design and construction of process plants utilizing electrolyzers and other unit operations to capture and convert CO2 into a myriad of value-add products. Working with the project management group, you will ensure project teams have the information and resources required to complete their assigned tasks on time. You will interact with the procurement team in all phases of the procure- to- pay process, track project costs and invoices. You will schedule team meetings, record meeting minutes, update and maintain  project schedules, and manage incoming and outgoing documents. As part of the Capital Projects Team, you will work closely with researchers, process engineers and business development and help develop and shepherd projects through definition and execution phases. You will evaluate technical engineering and project controls documents and help manage contractors and EPC companies during the design and construction of plants, from pilot to commercial scale. 

 

What You Will Do

  • Maintain and track internal and external distribution of documents. Ensure timely transfer of electronic files to/from teams working on projects
  • Organize and facilitate technical and project controls reviews during the design and construction phases of the projects. Monitor and report on progress throughout projects.
  • Interface with EPC companies, vendors, engineering companies to receive progress updates, confirm schedules and budgets and track project documents throughout review cycles.
  • Provide task planning, cost control, and resource forecasting for engineering and other technical activities related to the project; monitor progress and provide reports for  stakeholders as required
  • Work with procurement and finance to track proposals, invoices, and project expenditures. Update project budgets with refined estimates, quotes and actuals.
  • Help Project Manager/Engineer create and manage project schedules, tasks assignments, and project control documents. Update schedules based on latest information and work with the project engineer to monitor tasks and report when projects are deviating from approved schedules.
  • Organize, attend and record minutes for stakeholder meetings. Chair and facilitate project meetings where appropriate and maintain: action item lists, risk register, decision logs

Who You Are

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related fields preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a related field
  • You have excellent communication skills and ability to interface with multiple teams including external, business, and technical stakeholders
  • You have exceptional time management and organizational skills. You are adept at working on multiple projects with many different teams
  • Strong competency with Project Management software and applications such as: MS project, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Additional experience with applications such as Asana, Slack BlueBeam preferred.
  • You learn and adapt quickly, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Excellent grasp of project control strategies and tools.
