Systems Administrator/SaaS Administrator

We are looking for someone who is passionate about technology, organized and detail-oriented, who loves to make chaotic situations run smoothly, and understands the value of strong processes. This person will continually work to enhance, enrich, and monitor our hardware and software with strong attention to detail as we continue to grow and evolve. Due to the rapid growth of Generate this person will need to be adaptable to almost any situation. Lastly, the ideal candidate is passionate about Generate Capital’s mission and is looking to apply their expertise and experience to help grow and scale data services to meet the needs of the business.

What you will be doing at Generate Capital as the Systems Administrator/SaaS Administrator:

• Build, configure, and troubleshoot software and hardware enhancements, application deployments and infrastructure up-grades
• Diagnose and correct computer systems issues.
• Provide hands-on system administration support, system maintenance and operations support.
• Recommend software and hardware enhancements.
• Onboarding and offboarding automation
• Provides overflow end-user support for our level 1 support technicians.
• Provide recommendations and implementation of Cybersecurity initiatives
• Responsible for monitoring and maintaining network and SaaS systems
• Developing and maintain technical documentation of the system environment
• Provide other technical services as required for the successful completion of projects

Candidate qualifications & core characteristics:

• A demonstrated passion for, or commitment to, our mission
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred; or the equivalent years of relevant work experience and/or education required.
• 5+ years of experience in Microsoft systems administrator or similar role
• Okta SSO & MFA administration experience
• Office 365 administration experience
• Intune and Endpoint Manager experience
• Mimecast or equivalent experience
• Microsoft Azure experience
• End user support
• Cisco Meraki experience
• General networking experience including, DNS, DHCP, and Wifi
• Unimpeachable integrity and glowing references
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including empathy, intuition, and listening as well as strong writing, editing, and basic design skills.
• High level of self-awareness and humility, with excitement about confronting uncomfortable situations or new challenges
• Intellectual agility, curiosity, and creativity; problem-solving is your default mode
• Entrepreneurial spirit: flexibility, comfort with risk, recognition that “perfect can be the enemy of the good”.
