In order to keep climate change to 1.5°C, we’ll need 30% of global GDP (all of the energy generation and transportation) to run on batteries by 2035.
Zitara Technologies (YCombinator S20) builds predictive battery management software for transportation and energy customers with large deployments. Their customers operate >$100M deployments of batteries in satellites, EVs, and renewable energy storage installations.
Our team brings top researchers in physics-based battery algorithms together with seasoned software engineers to build safety-critical firmware and large-scale machine learning systems. We bring with us decades of experience from Toyota, Exponent, Proterra, Tesla, Gogoro, Google, and Facebook, and a passion for technologies that can have an immediate impact on the climate crisis.
Zitara's operation team’s software spans several domains:
Our operational tools and processes impact all our product lines and are integral to Zitara’s success and bottom line.
We're looking for a data engineer who is committed to delivering robust, scalable tools for our operations team. You'll contribute to Zitara's success by creating custom solutions to address operational needs, from test automation and monitoring, to data collection, validation and visualization. To succeed, you'll collaborate with both operations and engineering team members to build tools that support existing and future processes to create a smooth pipeline from data to machine learning to product.
In this role, you'll be expected to jump into at least one or two specific well-defined projects immediately, and help define future projects to streamline our operations as we grow.
