AMP Robotics is hiring a Health, Safety and Environmental Specialist that will be actively involved and engaged in all operational aspects of our company.  The HSE Specialist will lead the development of our HSE policies and procedures affecting all operations including production, engineering labs, installation activities at customer sites and service roles.

The ideal candidate for this role is a self-motivated, detail oriented and driven individual.  Should be capable of building strong, collaborative relationships across the entire organization.  The candidate should have strong communication skills and be a master in gaining buy-in and commitment from various stakeholders.  This role will be a critical role to help ensure a safe and incident free culture is maintained, hazard awareness is on the forefront of all team members minds and the wellbeing of our team members are top priority   

As our Health, Safety, and Environmental Specialist, you will work to:

  • Lead and guide the organization in the development and implementation of a comprehensive health, safety and environmental program
  • Creation of local  HSE playbooks  (safety policy, risk assessments, HSE plans, emergency response and preparedness plan) that can scale with AMP’s growth
  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive safety training program to all new hires and existing team members in a broad range of topics to include hazard identification, risk awareness, incident investigation, electrical safety training, powered industrial vehicles, non-standard process JHAs, LOTO and emergency response to name a few
  • Develop online and in person safety training materials to provide a continuous learning program for all employees, benchmarking for accuracy and providing mitigation when needed.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans for remote job sites 
  • Responsible to provide expertise and support to department leadership in incident and hazardous observations investigations and root cause analysis  
  • Actively support the development and realization of a “Zero Incident Culture”
  • Provide guidance and audit support when qualifying contractors and other 3rd party workers
  • Manage the environmental programs ensuring full compliance to local, state and federal permits and licenses are maintained
  • Design, plan and perform technical duties in the prevention, control and remediation of health hazards
  • Provide ergonomic and risk assessment guidance in production 
  • Prepare and submit all regulatory reports including OSHA injury and illness reports, OSHA 300 injury log
  • Conduct in-house HSE inspections on facility, materials and equipment in order to identity and execute actions needed to maintain compliance standards
  • Maintain and update all posting procedures

The successful candidate will have:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering 
  • Working knowledge of Federal and state environmental and safety regulations.  
  • 5+ years experience supporting health, safety and environmental programs in a complex manufacturing, construction and engineering lab environment
  • ASP or CSP Certification or ability/willingness to obtain
  • Experience with Emergency Response 
  • OSHA 10 General Industry Certificate
  • Proficient use of PC based applications (MS Office, Google suite, on-line training software (LMS) OSHA packages) 
  • Willingness to support a flexible and demanding work schedule in various production and construction environments
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, organizational abilities, high level of motivation and initiative
  • Possess a sense of urgency
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with operations, engineering, executive team, service techs, customers, human resources, and project management
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment 
  • Experience developing processes and procedures from scratch based on experience and education
  • Strong presentation and communication skills

Salary & Compensation Information: $80,000 - $100,000

Benefits Information:

  • Medical - The company covers up 85% to 100% of the premium for Cigna healthcare plans depending on the selection. Employees pay the difference in premium if they select a more expensive plan. Up to 75% for dependents.
