About Rondo Energy 

Rondo Energy's mission is to eliminate 15% of global CO2 emissions in 15 years. 

To accomplish this mission, Rondo is deploying low-cost, zero-carbon Rondo Heat Batteries to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy and to significantly decarbonize industrial processes that are commonly thought of as "difficult-to-decarbonize". Our Heat Batteries charge from intermittent renewables to provide high temperature, continuous heat for customers safely, reliably, at an unprecedented 98% efficiency - and at a cost point that is lower than any other method. 

We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer to join our team and repower industrial heat at scale. This is an integral role to Rondo’s success in which you will lead the documentation of systems, components, and tooling to support large scale deployment of the Rondo Heat Battery for industrial processes. Additionally, you will work closely with the Engineering teams to be responsible for the timely, accurate, and efficient preparation & management of technical documents.

What You Will Do (key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to): 

  • Create, maintain, and manage internal and external documentation for processes, hardware, product, construction, and various projects 
  • Do hands-on research to obtain necessary technical content to translate into clear, concise, structured documentation 
  • Design, document, edit, and fix or reorganize existing technical and process documentation 
  • Shadow technicians and engineers performing their tasks in order to create clear SOPs 
  • Standardize and update templates across the company  
  • Organize, document, and train staff on updates and changes to the manufacturing line 
  • Document specifications, working drawings, instructions and other related documents supplied by engineering 
  • Create content for current and potential customers 
  • Work closely with other functional teams to keep track of process and hardware improvements 

What You Will Bring: 

  • +3 years engineering documentation experience from multiple industries and technologies; construction documentation experience is a plus 
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills as well as the ability to manage complex documents and processes 
  • Proven track record of independently defining and driving technical documentation projects 
  • Highly skilled at data extraction and asking the right questions 
  • Proficiency with Solidworks 
  • BA/BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technical Writing, or equivalent work experience 
  • A bias for collaboration - highly skilled at working cross-functionally  

Bonus Points: 

  • Enthusiasm for supplying clean energy to Industry 
  • Experience with construction sequencing, assembly, and industrial/energy industries
