We are looking for a motivated and results-oriented Senior Procurement Manager who is passionate about building processes and policies from the ground up and is looking to flex their negotiation skills at an organization making a meaningful difference in the world. They will strategically partner with leaders across the company to manage complex software and services renewals, purchases, and other high-dollar-value negotiations, as well as deliver excellent customer service both internally and externally.

What you'll do:

  • Set Aurora Solar’s “Procurement Philosophy” and build and document procurement processes and policies accordingly
  • Drive awareness and comprehension of procurement processes and policies through internal training and communication
  • Partner with department leads to align on team requirements ahead of contract negotiations
  • Work closely with Security, Legal, and Finance to ensure compliance with privacy, contractual, and budget requirements
  • Negotiate strategic agreements directly with vendors to maximize savings and efficiencies for stakeholders
  • Use multiple sources of information, including stakeholder views and strategies, to develop solutions and recommendations
  • Foster trust in both internal and external stakeholders by maintaining operational excellence

What we value:

  • Experience developing, implementing, and executing Procurement strategies and compliance (including but not limited to Software, IT Hardware, Professional Services, Facilities, etc.)
  • Demonstrated history of negotiating contracts, especially SaaS Software and Applications
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets is required (experience with Anaplan is a plus!)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels throughout the company
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, couple with the ability to follow-through
  • Ability to prioritize objectives in a fast-paced environment to ensure key deliverables are met in a timely manner

At Aurora Solar, we tie our base pay ranges to level and location. In the United States, this means that your base pay ranges will fall into one of three geographic pay zones depending on your location. 
In most cases, we target the midpoint of our salary ranges for new hire compensation. This placement is reflective of full proficiency in a role. Base pay is ultimately determined based on a number of factors including skills, qualifications, and location. This role is eligible for additional variable compensation and an equity grant, which will be discussed in your initial recruiter conversation. 
Our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
- Tier 1 San Francisco, New York City: $144,500.00 - $195,500.00- Tier 2 Seattle, Los Angeles, Washington DC: $132,000.00 - $179,000.00- Tier 3 All Other US Locations, including Colorado: $120,500.00 - $162,500.00
