 The Role 

SPAN is growing fast and we’re looking for an IT Helpdesk person to manage and support our growing SPAN team’s IT needs to get their work done efficiently. This role will interact with our internal teams such as Support, Manufacturing, Accounting, Fulfillment, Sales, Engineering, Finance, R&D, and more. This role involves driving the resolution of technically challenging and diverse IT  issues in the workplace; as such it requires a generalist’s mindset and not only an eagerness to learn, but also an ability to deploy broad expertise around laptop computers, networking, WiFi, conference room communications, Google Meet and Zoom administration, ISP/Broadband providers, and other internal company infrastructure (doors, keys, servers, switches, etc.. A SPAN IT Help Desk provider is patient, empathetic, and eager to drive process and product improvements to ensure an excellent SPAN employee experience along with being an exemplary team member.

 

The ideal candidate will be responsible, detail-oriented and can assume responsibility for hardware and software throughout the organization, including employee desktops/laptops,, basic network troubleshooting, peripherals, and asset management.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the IT helpdesk requests ensuring problems are resolved in a timely manner
  • Documents calls and resolutions to ensure continuity throughout the team
  • Document, track and record devices in the Asset Management System
  • Perform Add/ Remove changes for employee onboarding and offboarding
  • Instruct end-users in the appropriate use of equipment and/or software relating to various workflows.
  • Create and update internal documentation of systems and processes for IT referencing. Utilize documentation to better educate staff on proper workflow by formatting documents.

About You 

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff, both verbally and in written responses.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Google Workspace.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills, are a must!
  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational and time management practices are preferred.
  • Accuracy in work is a must.
  • Ability to operate individually and with Software support.
  • Mac and Windows OS troubleshooting
  • Some network knowledge (TCP/IP, VPN, routing)
  • Experience with Hardware Configuration (desktops, laptops, peripherals)
  • Experience with Email and Calendar Systems (Google apps, Outlook)
  • Experience with  Remote Access solutions
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • MS Office Suite

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $103,000 - $142,000 plus benefits, equity and variable compensation for Sales-related roles. This range represents SPAN’s good faith estimate of competitively-priced salary for the role based on national, real-time industry data from companies of a similar growth stage. This range reflects minimum and maximum new hire salaries for the role across US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by location and individual factors including relevant skills, experience and education or training. This range correlates to the relative level of the candidate we believe we need for the role and may require an adjustment for candidates of a different level.
