On behalf of Aquacycl, we are looking for a Wastewater Project Engineer to plan, schedule, predict, and manage all technical tasks of projects related to building packaged wastewater treatment plants to assure accuracy, proper resources, and quality from start to finish.

About the Role
You must be highly organized and detail oriented, relentless in asking questions, maniacal about documentation, flexible and be able to navigate between multiple projects.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Determine project specifications and product design based on customer requirements, and performance standards
Design wastewater treatment solutions to achieve customer requirements, and performance standards
Select pre- and post-treatment technologies to complement Aquacycl systems and provide complete wastewater treatment solutions for the customer
Communicate with other wastewater treatment technology providers
Prepare BOMs, select and procure the necessary materials for project completion
Prepare project cost estimates and track project expenses
Determine and maintain project schedule, and ensure the design, consistency and functionality of a project throughout its entire process.
Prepares project status reports and inform supervisors promptly of any schedule changes, and work closely with engineers, manufacturing and service teams to ensure requirements are met
Create and administer testing protocols for monitoring project performance
Knowledge & Experience
Their Project Engineer must have Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering or related field and at least 3 years of mechanical engineering experience in the water industry. Candidates must be able to travel to customer sites.
Successful candidates must demonstrate:
knowledge in hydraulic systems design and operation
pumps, valves, level transmitter and other water related equipment selection
project design and management skills
excellent communication skills
outstanding organizational and time management abilities
a high-level of self-motivation
attention to detail
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Other requirements include:
knowledge of Microsoft Office products
familiarity with PLC and HMI systems
aptitude for learning new software programs
experience with PVC plumbing and general plumbing knowledge
knowledge of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD, Onshape
Aquacycl is based in Escondido, California and we prefer to have our Project Engineer onsite as much as possible as this is a critical role for growing our business capabilities. However, flexible work from home schedules are possible at times.
