Opportunity 

As we continue to expand our business, we are seeking a Business Development Representative to join our growing sales team.

As a Business Development Representative, you will be the first point of contact for prospective clients. In this role, you’ll be responsible for researching, prospecting, and leading engaging conversations with potential Rheaply clients. Creating a great first impression that builds rapport and trust will be your first step toward developing a pipeline of qualified opportunities for our sales team. You will work closely with both marketing and sales as you help to create a pipeline of opportunities by following up with and nurturing inbound leads and “cold prospects” into specific target accounts to generate qualified sales opportunities for the Account Executive to further qualify, negotiate, and close.

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Drive lead generation by identifying qualified contacts at target accounts and organizations
  • Build our sales pipeline by setting meetings with qualified contacts
  • Write email sequences to a diverse set of prospective customers across many industries, customer personas, and levels of seniority
  • Attend conferences and tradeshows to promote our products and meet with prospects (virtually for now!)
  • Utilize Salesforce and other tools (SalesLoft/ZoomInfo/LinkedIn Sales Navigator) with proficiency
  • Use online resources to understand customers’ pain points and work to solve them
  • Work with your team and other departments to maximize sales
  • Track and report progress on daily, weekly, and monthly goals

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1-5 years of direct sales experience or relevant coursework (experienced BDRs are welcome!)
  • The ability to source great prospects and obtain all necessary information to close the deal
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed quotas (sales rankings preferred)
  • Ability to efficiently prioritize tasks and manage time
  • A coachable individual who’s open to new ideas and feedback, and is looking to advance their skill sets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An entrepreneurial spirit - the idea of being an active participant in a growing company must excite you
  • Must be tech savvy and able to navigate a CRM
  • Clear, concise writer able to articulate Rheaply’s value proposition to a wide array of prospective buyers
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
